Samsung Tocco Ultra Edition
8-megapixel camera 3G Auto focus Camera face detection Bluetooth® Quadband. Touchscreen with keypad.
Having recently upgraded to the tocco ultra I thought I would tell you a little about the phone. This is the first touch screen phone I have owned and I have to say I have found it very easy to use.
As it is a Samsung, they have stayed true to their concept of using numbers to choose certain options and there is also a slide-out keypad so you're not forced to go completly touch screen until you feel ready for it.
The phone itself feel solid and compact, it is a nice size and weight. I adjusted to this phone almost straight away having used a Samsung G600 for 18 months.
The home screen has a column neatly tucked to the left hand side which you can open and are then presented with a widgets, which allow you quick access to things such as profiles, favourites, calendar, orange world etc. You can customise which widgets you want and also move them around in a different order or take them out of the bar and then put them permantly onto your home screen.
The camera on the phone is brilliant, it produces crisp, clear images and as a enthusiastic photographer owning a dslr it does come up trumps but for obvious reasons I wouldn't choose to use the camera over my dslr. I also find the camera button situated on the right hand side is a bit awkward.
There is the option to change this button to activate a six option menu which is a quick way to access messaging, music and among others the main menu.
I was dissapointed though as there is no camera option in this six option shortcut, meaning that if i leave the key in this 'switch' mode i have to go to main menue, applications, camera to activate it, slightly annoying but dealable.
As I'm with Orange they have removed the share pics option and replaced it with Orange Album, allowing me to upload straight to my orange album but making it nearly impossible to upload to facebook, myspace, twitter etc.
If the share pics option was left then this would be a doddle.
The battery life is poor, lasting only 2/3 days max, but with the great Amoled screen and all the techy bits and bobs that are packed in it is no little wonder, it doesn't take long to hook to fully charge either.
Overall the phone is a strong contender, offers everything you need in a mobile, does have some slight annoyences but is a good option compared to other sets on the market at the moment.

God review, but I DESPISE the Tocco with a passion. A passion that couldl lead to the dark side, and happily I shall join it shall the day come if the Tocco is to be vanquished!
Advantages: camera good music player good and video quality good Disadvantages: not very many good games for it, can be quite hard at times due to the touch screen
