Advantages: good sound quality Disadvantages: breaks easily
...I am unimpressed with this product it broke within a month possibly caused by the hard disk, the screen is fairly poor and unresponsive. The sound quality is good and the earphones are good quality is good as well. The mp3 player is a bit chunky and heavy compared to other available on the market. I think 20 GB is a bit too much for music as it holds about 10,000 files. The software that comes with it is just an advert for Napster which is over priced and complicated.
when i firs purchaced this product a long while ago it was the most up to date mp3 player on the market but as times goes on there are a lot of better mp3 players to be found from sony or samsung
the interface is easy to use but a bit time consuming...

Advantages: Added Extras, Great Price, Good Storage Space Disadvantages: Radio is a little crackely, but this is nothing too serious
...I have owned my SamsungYH-920 since October 2004. Originally I bought a 20GB Ipod and it was dead on arival, I exchanged it for another Ipod and again it broke within 10 days of owning it. This little gem was on offer at the time for the amazing price of £179, and absolute bargain compared to the £219 I paid for my Ipod of exactly the same size. Plus the fact that the Samsung came with a case, docking station, radio and remote control all extras the Ipod comes without.
The silver interface, with white sides. A large LCD screen and a square button in the centre to navigate. The look is fairly simple, but not quite as boring as the Ipod.
ADVANTAGES:-
1. What a bargain, compaired to other Mp3 players of the same price range (Ipod Mini, Zen Micro, Rio Carbon) i got 20 GB of storage instead of 4 or 5GB, can't go wrong!
2. The Dock...

Advantages: Easy menu system, cheap price Disadvantages: Odd track sorting, various technical faults experienced
...prefectly fine to me until I upgraded to the new 30GB iPod video - the sound on this is just so much richer. Don't get me wrong, there's nothing wrong with the Samsung's sound, but I can't help comparing it with my new player which really is better than anything else I've heard. The battery life was average to begin with but did seem to deteriorate with use.
Problems:
This is what pulls my opinion of the YH-920 down. I first bought this player in April 2005 from eBay (to be clear - a reputable seller, I have no qualms with them) for £120 - the cheapest you could find a 20GB player anywhere, by £50 or £60 at least. It was brand new when I recieved it, but was malfunctioning within a week. I would turn the player on, and hear it boot up, only to find nothing on the screen. I tried resetting it and turning it on again, but only every so often would...

Now I have never been one to conform, and getting into the media hype about the latest and greatest I-Pod always left me on the verge of tears. My mum has one, my sister has one and so does my partner - granted they are all different types but they all... more
Having owned several Samsung branded MP3 players over the years, I really enjoyed them so I decided to upgrade from their K5 mp3 player. I found this well built and very reliable (hardly ever crashed) and loved the portable slide out speaker. When the... more
