I recently bought this MP3 player for my boyfriend for his birthday but I feel able to write a review on it as I set it up and put all the songs on and have used it also.
We were looking for a new MP3 player as the old cheap one we had had busted. When looking for the new one we looking at 1GB as this is about 500 songs and is more than enough, USB chargeable, and able to get music from sites and CD's and a decent playback time.
My boyfriend had set his heart on one but I was unable to get it and when browsing through the Argos catalogue he saw this one and decided that it looked better and would like it. It was advertised at £59.99 which I felt was a little steep for a 1Gb but as we had some Argos vouchers to put towards it I didn't mind. I went down to our local Argos and it was in-stock and only £49.99 which was a result.
It came in a small but well packaged box which when you open it the first thing you see is the small and very attractive MP3 player. It comes with headphones, USB lead, instruction guide and CD.
The MP3 player is very sleek and fancy looking. It is only about 1cm thick and the size of a 10 pack of ciggies!! (3.5inch x 1.45inch) I was very impressed when I took it out the box. The front is all black and all you can see is the screen which is greyer and about just under the half of the size of the whole MP3.
I had to charge the MP3 up for a bit to be able to turn it on the first time but it didn't take too long before I could switch it on (luckily as I just wanted to play with it!). The manual says apprx 4 hours to fully charge and I would say this is about right.

To turn it on there is a small slide button on the side which you slide down and hold, the screen and buttons then light up and it brings you the main menu.

To select music you tap the circle button in the middle you then have the choice of artists, albums, tracks, genres or playlists - which it sorts out when you put the music on there. You then select what you want to listen to. On the screen the track and artist information scrolls across and you can choose either an amplifier or picture to "dance" to the music. It also includes the track time and battery life.
The sound quality is very good and you can easily control the volume by the up and down keys on the front. The buttons glow when in use but the lights go off after about 30 seconds of not using them, you just have to tap the screen to get them back up if you wish.
The radio is FM and easy to set up you can auto set up or manual set up the channels by a short or long tap on the left/right keys. It picks up a wide range of channels.
I haven't really used the photo part but I have looked at the photos on there and they are of a good quality, but we didn't buy the MP3 to put photos on so I guess this is just an added bonus if slightly unnecessary feature for us.
In setting you can change the display, time (you can have a clock on the screen), language and system.
The headphones are the in your ear type and seem of a good quality. The lead is long enough for you to put the MP3 in your trouser pocket.
The playback time is stated as up to 20 hours but to be honest I haven't given it the chance to get that low yet as when a few bars go we plug it in to charge. It will be coming on holiday with us soon though so perhaps I will update the review with how well it lasts then.
As stated I got the player in Argos for £49.99 I think for what we've got it is great value and to me it looks a more expensive than that.
I would recommend this MP3 as it looks sleek and stylish, is easy to use and has great sound quality and playback time.
Advantages: relatively cheap , simple to upload music and pictures Disadvantages: too many falls can result in occassional freezing
Upon first impressions i wanst quite sure what to think . It slightly resmebled the infamous I-Pod but on closer inspection i relaised that it was infact an MP3 player by Samsung.I wanst sure what to expect and doubted the quality and durability of the device , but just one day of use changed my opinions on it entirely .
The graphics and sound quality was matched to that of any i-pod and it contained even more special features aswell as the ability ... ...previous MP3s with fetaures such as the ability to upload you own photos and the choice of numerous radio stations .
Priced at a mere average of 50.00 pounds this was definately a good investment and is still going even past the one year mark. Its very simple to use and comprises of a touch screen upon with up and down keys are used to vary the volume and the side keys can be used yto skip or change songs. The round middle touch screen button can ...

iPod - a word that makes me want to vomit.
I can't stand Apple, and never have been able to - though i have many friends who swear by them.
So, when searching for an mp3 player that WASN'T an iPod i struggled. Now, wandering through town, despondant and weary my bearing perked up as i wandered into a local little electronics place and spotted this - the price was right, it had enough memory... I'll take it!
So, we'll start with teh cons...
You ... ...this is a major pain in the backside as it means you can't actually do anything with it at all while its cold.
The random play seems to like the same thirty or so tracks. Now, seeing as you load it up with tracks you like, this seems to be a good thing in a bizarre way - its really not. you get tired of it after a while!
Now, the considerably longer list of Pro's!
The included software is fantastic - its a music player for the computer - basically ...

I recieved 1GBSamsungYP-K5JZB as a birthday present. I first seen the portable MP3 Player advertised on a PCD music video and was immediately attracted. The sleek design shows true craftsmanship and elegance and it was the first MP3 player I had seen with built in, slide-out speakers. The first thing which I found fascinating was the touch screen capabilities. I also found that transferring music onto the portable device was very straight forward. On the other hand, one of the things I felt could have been improved was the provided ear-phones. I did not find the ear-phones attractive and was a little worried to walk down the street wearing them. Another disadvantage in my view is the battery charger. The only product I was supplied with to charge the device was via USB cable, in situations where there is no access to a personal ...
Built on the huge success of Samsungs revolutionary K5 MP3 player, the K3 duplicates the major functions, without a slide out speaker. This makes the K3 one of the slimmest and most attractive MP3 players on the market, with proven hardware and celebrated design.
