I had decided to buy a new MP3 player as my iPod was constantly corrupting and costing me a fortune in repairs. I am fairly vain and so I wanted a stylish MP3 player that had both a large range of features, exceeding good looks, but one that was also affordable.
I had been hunting round the shops for a little while and still nothing really caught my eye. I had done a bit of research on the internet because I am quite a fussy buyer and found the Samsung YP-K5 and immediately I knew that this was the MP3 player for me. I continued to search high and low round every shop I could think of but could not seem to find this MP3 player anywhere. So I decided to buy it straight from the internet. I wasn't keen on buying directly from the internet because, as I mentioned earlier, I am a very fussy buyer. However, I was absolutely ecstatic when my new Samsung YP-K5 arrived because it was everything I had hoped for plus more.
Despite the small memory (I only bought a 2 GB) the music features where amazing. As well as searching through your tracks by artist and by genre you can also include your own play lists. However, the only drawback to this is that play lists can only be set up when using your computer.
The software included is easy to use and gives you the most out of your music. You can also store photos on your MP3 player and use it to view a slideshow of these photos. Transferring music to your MP3 player could not be easier. You just simply select the track and click the copy button. I mean come on how easy is that!
The slide out speaker has fantastic volume and is crystal clear. There is also added bass when tracks are played through the speaker. This adds to the effect of the track.
The FM radioreceiver is once again crystal clear and terribly easy to operate. You simply press a button and the MP3 player will search the airwaves for a signal. Then all the signals received are stored into a preset list. This can be altered for personal preferences.
The MP3 player also has an alarm feature which is very handy. You can also decide whether you wake up to your own music or even the radio.
The MP3 players touch screen is simplistic, stylish and effective. The menus are easy to navigate. The MP3 player will also turn itself off if it is left not playing for too long.
However, this is in fact too good to be true. I paid £110 for a 2 GB MP3 player that is terribly steep but because of all the features and sheer style I am willing to forgive this.
