Samsung P2 - a constantly evolving MP3 Player! 24/08/2008

Advantages great design, radio recording, plays lots of file types, big screen, constant updates
Disadvantages small buttons, Samsung Media Studio only accepts credit cards, touch screen can be tempermental

I received the Samsung P2 MP3 player as a birthday present, as I've previously owned several cheap MP3 players which I usually wear out or break quickly! This player was bought for me as an investment, which I can honestly say sums up this gadget perfectly. I personally feel the greatest feature of this MP3 player is the ability to update its firmware. Since I've owned it, it has had 2 major firmware updates. YP-P2JC Touchscreen Player Review 12/01/2008

Advantages Easy to navigate and use. Supports A2DP/AVRCP Bluetooth profile. Good screen.
Disadvantages Screen can get very messy since it's a touchscreen.

Firstly, just to clarify, despite it saying not touchscreen in the ciao list... IT IS! THe Samsung YP-P2JC comes in a few varieties, 2GB, 4GB and 8GB. I got this one, the 8GB as it's definately better to have more space than to run out of space. Since the player allows for video playback as well as music and photos, the 8GIG version is recommended. As you may know, this is a flash memory player, as opposed to a hard disk one, thus, it's very thin and very light. Audio, as expected is very good. Advantages Good sound, sleek and good looking, video playback.
Disadvantages Unresponsive touch screen. Only 8Gb

I have owned the samsung YP P2 MP3 player for 6 months now and I have to say it has been a pleasure using this device.\ Firstly its looks are top notch with its sleek black finish and it feels solid in the hand, like a quality product should. The samsung YP P2 has a good feature set including video playback, picture viewing and extras such as FM radio, calendar and calculator. The menus are extremely simple to navigate apart from the fact that it may require 2 touches on the screen to press a button sometimes. Advantage: Can connect to the phone High Speed Transfer Disadvantage: Storage Capacity Same size to that of a standard mobile Presenter was not clear with what he was saying. He referred to the black Samsung as white and kept talking about the firmware update. Said it can be used as an MP3 player but then corrected him by saying it can be connected to the MP3 player. Mentioned about blue way but I don't know what that is The presenter gave a very good comparison study of the new features of the product. He was able to demonstrate what he was saying. Advantages Sexy! Sleek, good quality and high resolution screen. Brilliant value for money.
Disadvantages No extra programs can be downloaded/bought. Touch screen can be sensitive at times.

The face of the MP3 player is the same gloss as the back of my laptop screen. I think that the touch interface is just the right sensitivity most the time. Sometimes i think it can be overly sensitive like when trying to select a song, the scroll can sometimes scroll so fast that the songs can't be seen properly!
