The Samsung YP-S5 is an update to the K5 that was released in 2006. The K5 had an unusual trait, a nifty built in speaker that was grouped with the actually mp3 player. This small and stylish player had very good sound considering and even the speaker was up to par for quality. The only downfall was the width of the player, at the time it was alot thicker than other mp3 players, but non the less it was good to be able to share your favorite music with your friends by just sliding the speaker out.
The YP-S5 on the other had still uses this unique trait of a speaker but throws in alot more support and softwar which the previous lacked. They have made the sound quality much higher and with the use of bluetooth, built in photo and video support, fm-Radio, a voice recorder and alarm clock the product has many more features that show its prowess on the mp3 market. This player also comes with a pair of earbuds that fit comfortably and securely in the ear.
Some disadvantages to the player is its relatively small screen and it is a little bit more pricier than other mp3 players of the same storage. The Creative zen's 4GB one sells for around 20-30 pounds less. the lack of many controls and no dedicated volume controls could be a down point and the videos would have to be in the samsungs format.
In conclusion this player is extreamly fun especially with its excellent sound quality from its headphone and the simplicity of sharing with your friends when you are out and about by just sliding the speaker open. although this player has a small screen other aspects of this stylish player make up for it.
