Advantages: sleek but simple - a great alternative to ipods, with the added bonus of bluetooth Disadvantages: faulty touchscreen keys, slow scrolling

The Bluetooth function was one of the key features that attracted me to this product at first. It's brilliant for transferring music and pictures from mobile phones etc, and you can also set it up to work as the keypad(this is a bit too fiddly though) and headphones for your phone, meaning it will pause the track while you recieve a call though the player, working as a handsfree set. ... more
When I first bought this product it was very new to the market, and I had numerous problems installing the Samsung software on my computer. The screen is clear and menus are easy to use to find what file you're looking for, whether you're browsing by artist, genre or playlist, etc. However, if you have a long list of things, for example a list of album titles, you can't scroll through the list quickly to find one a long way down because it has to scroll through each item on the list individually, which is very annoying. The screen is great quality, although probably a bit small to watch a full length film on. I like the way you can personalise it by changing fonts, colours and fun backgrounds including your own photos. The smooth, thin, black design is very stylish, and the touchpad is straightforward and easy to use, not at all fiddly, although once or twice I have had problems when one of the buttons appears to have got 'stuck' and won't stop scrolling, and I have had to turn it off and on again to get it to stop. Thankfully the on/off switch is a basic manual sliding switch at the side (no overcomplicated technology there then!)
The headphones that come free are very reasonable, and produce clear and full 3D stereo sound, so unless you're a headphone fanatic, I wouldn't bother trying to upgrade them. The FM radio has reasonable reception, and you can record off it. You can also make voice recordings.
One reason I bought it was because it appeared to have relatively good battery life, although I have not noticed this particularly with use. It does not come with a mains adapter, so has to be charged by USB port, which is a bit inconvenient. Tesco does sell a USB/mains adapter charger for £14.99 which should be suitable, although I have not tried this product yet. Apparently you can also charge it with a standard Samsung phone charger.

Definately the future of MP3 players lies here!
Compared to other similar products on the market, it is definately worthwhile considering instead of the more popular ipod models, bearing in mind its sleek, sophisticated design and impressive range of features (Bluetooth in particular). Overall, very good value for money.

The YP-T10 is geared straight toward a young audience. The full-screen moving GUI is played out on a 2in, 240 x 320 display. It's MPEG 4 and WMV video capable as well as a music player - MP3 and WMA formats - and there's a radio and photo viewer on board too.
