What makes a good mp3 player? Is it about how much you can store it? Is it about what other stuff required in the mp3 player? Well i think, what makes a good mp3 player is the quality of the music you acheive from the mp3 player and the portability of it. I think Samsung T9 has the quality and the portabiliy to achieve one of the best mp3 player.
One of the strking features of mp3 player nowadays which should consider as an essential element is the wireless headphones and T9 has the bluetooth which can enable this. There aren't that many wireless headphones on the market and they are fairly expensive but technology
always improves as time passes. Because T9 has bluetooth, it can also transfer music from other devices such as PC, phones for an easier access of music.
The shape and the size of T9, i think, it's perfect. if you compare the size with the hand, it is just the size of a palm which effectively encloses the T9 with beauty. Samsung has brought the black colour on to the T9 with a silver strip on the either side of the T9 which makes it very stand out of its mp3 player as well. The screen is quite small however, it is just enough to read most of the letters. However, i wasn't very impressed with the ergonomics of the buttons especially the power on button and the back button which is on the right hand side of the T9. It is quite hard to get used to especially for people who has a bigger hand. Moreover, the shape of the T9, i think, it's derived from the mobile phone, Samsung D900. It has a very close relationship to its shape. Also, when i held Samsung D900 and Samsung T9, i thought the concept of the design was very much similar.
Another important part of mp3 player is its size. You can get either 2gb or 4gb. To be honest with you, i don't think 2gb or 4gb is small, i think it is just the right size for a mp3 player. Even though this mp3 player supports video playback, it's not the best screen size to watch a 2 hour long film. 4gb holds about 4000 songs however, this varies obviously because each mp3 files are very different.
One of the aspect of Samsung MP3 player is that you get Samsung Media Player (Software) with it and you would not need to pay to use it. For T9, Samsung Media Player is essential because of the video playback. The video file has to undergo a change in file to playback in T9. It takes time whenever it is converting and the time which it takes depends on how big the file is. I have tried to upload 700mb movie file and it took me about an hour.
Video playback is excellent even though the screen is small. The quality is very clear and solid and also, it doesn't lose the quality at all.
Now, the quality of the mp3 playback is also great. You can also change the dynamic of the playback by going on to DNSE and it has a lot of variations, from rock, dance, house, etc to suit your style of music. One element of T9 is the fact you cannot upload windows media player format of music however, the technology has grown and there is a software which can convert windows media player format to MP3 format. Therefore it is not the biggest problem.
Another fun element of T9 is the selection of games which is fun to play. Three games are included: Baseball - what you do here is try and hit the ball whenver you are a bat player and when throwing you would need throw so that the bat player doesn't get it. PizzaDelivery - this is like race game however, you would need to jump the obstacles on the way to complete the race. Honeybee - this is a puzzle where you would need match the same colours of the honeybee
Another aspect of T9 is that you can view pictures and texts as well. Again, pictures are shown on T9 very clearly and very crisp as well.
The battery life is also great. Playback time for T9 is said to be about 30 hours and it actually uses about the same time as well.
Other features of the T9 includes - Radio, Voice Recorder, etc
I would recommend T9 to everyone because it holds quite a lot of elements especially the bluetooth capability gives it away.

Great reviewing! :> One little thing though... I've just checked and the average size of most of my songs is about 3.5 mb, which would mean I could only hold about 1100 right? So maybe your 4000 song estimate was a bit ambitious? (Or else possibly my songs are just too big!)
