An absolutely brilliant Mp3 player that i carry everywhere with me. In fact i'm going to take it with me today when i go to play footie with my friends.
I'm tired of Ipod owners thinking that their overpriced possession with lmited appeal is the best Mp3 and video player on the market, simly because it is the thing of the moment. The Samsung YP-U3 1GB is a highly portable, reliable and stylish player that is just as great as the better known Mp3 players, but at a reasonable price for this utility.
The Design
Its a palm-sized player that resembles a very stylish mobile phone and with its sleek finish in black or blue, its very aesthetically pleasing to the eye. I love watching the odd blue light next to the USB connectio port that flashes intermittently! Weird i know, but i love flashing lights.
Ease of use and performance
It is very easy in my opinion to copy songs into this player, and as it can store 250 songs, i'm mighty pleased. The buttons are well-defined and make it easy to navigate the 1 inch OLED screen, which crams in alot of data. Volume is sensational as is the sound quality of the Mp3 player and this is the real clincher for me. For under £30, you get a great player that does exactly what you require of it, namely play your music.
The Features
Flash memory with a storage space of 1GB, enough for 250 songs Can use Windows XP/Vista to copy songs 1 inch OLED screen Supports MP3, WMA, OGG, ASF, PDDRM file formats FM Tuner and Equalizer Headphones included are are of good quality USB 2.0 connectivity Size: 2.54x8x1.1 cm Weight: 22.8 grams, very light indeed! Maximum playtime on a charged battery is 15 hours. I've found that it can go 12 hours without needing a recharge.
This is a sensational Mp3 player and for this under £30 its a very good bargain too.
Advantages: Small and discreet with an array of features at a low price Disadvantages: at 1GB, bigger players can hold a lot more songs, not perfect for people who need more storage
...be transferred!. The Samsung YP-U3 1GB has a battery life of up to 15 hours which is absolutely amazing compared to older mp3 players which operated on AAA size batteries which lasted for roughly 3-4 hours and needing fresh batteries. For a player of its size, it can hold a fantastic 500 songs in mp3 format and of course almost double in wma format.
Cosmetically, it is very attractive and user friendly, with touch sensitive buttons and colour screen ... ...conclude, in my opinion, the Samsung YP-U3 is a fantastic overall mp3 player with a great array of features and quality at an amazing price. I would say that cost wise it fits into the budget category, meaning that it can prove its reliability to the world at a fraction of the cost of its bigger brothers! ...

Advantages: cheap, touch sensitive controls, direct usb, easy to use, great sound Disadvantages: screen damages if not looked after, only charges via USB, no photos/video
This MP3 Player was perfect for me. I can't stand clicky buttons, so the touch sensitive controls proved a perfect solution. For me, the IPod seemed to do not a lot for its price. The YP-U3 had FM radio and voice recording, both of which are very useful especially for recording lectures and finding out the latest news. The USB Port comes directly out of the player, so no wires etc are needed and it can even be used as a memory stick. And the USB ... ...would be expected. Its also good because you can either drag and drop music straight onto the player or use the software provided to help organise the music before you transfer it. The software is also easy to use. I found that the MP3 player was quite hard to operate at first, but after a few hours, it becomes so easy! This MP3 is simple but practical. I got it in black as it is smart and scratches don't show. The screen is very pleasing to the ...

Advantages: Small Sleek and Sexy Disadvantages: None
...a white version of the Samsung YP-U3 1GB mp3 for my technophobe friend a couple of weels ago and must say it is an extremely cool bit of kit.
It arrived in a small plastic box which was extremely well presented and fit through my letter box perfectly. There is no seperate USB cable as the USB attachment is built into the player which slots out easily to connect to the pc. Synchronising music on the player is also a piece of cake and after an hour ... ...friend's favourite music. It also has a built in FM tuner which works fairly well in picking up stations.
The functions on the player are very easy to use with touch sensitive controls and the blue backlit LCD screen tells you everything you need to know. It goes blank after a minute or so and looks like its switched off which I guess is a battery saving function.
It plays MP3, WMA, ASF and OGG files and also features a voice control function. ...

Advantages: excellent playback, radio reception is amazing, too many to mention - price etc Disadvantages: not compatible with iTunes
...How much memory does your mp3 player have? 1GB, 2GB? Did you pay more than £65 for it? If the answer to any of these questions is yes then you have been duped, drawn in my the marketing blurb of the huge multinationals and missed out on the SamsungYP-U3 4GB which at £65 comes in as the best mp3 player I have owned or had the pleasure to use.
Available in 3 sizes, the SamsungYP-U3 is priced at £35, £50 and £65 for the 1, 2 and 4GB models respectively and while the smaller memory models are available in a range of bright and funky colours, the 4GB model which I opted for is like a Model T Ford, available in any colour as long as it is black.
Like other mp3 players songs are downloaded from various online stores such as Napster and CDs can be burnt onto the memory. One very minor niggle is that iTunes isn't compatible with the YP-U3...

The player is compatible with MP3, WMA and Ogg file types and the battery life is a claimed 15 hours. The display is a 1'' OLED that from the looks of it crams lots of data onto the tiny screen. The new YP-U3 keeps the odd blue light around the USB connector that the previous generations of the player had.
