I was lucky enough to be given one of these for Christmas,and what a delight ti is. I have a couple of pc in the house and I am always wanting to transfer information between the two.I have tried several methods but not being a computer hardware buff have always screwd it up. ending up copy data onto a cd and transfering it that way. Not the most efficient way of doing things as cd tend to hold about 700mb of data and most of the stuff I need is far less than that. Well this is where this little gizmo comes into its own. If your operating sysyem is running win98 or better and its equipped with a usb slot ,that all you need. Just take the cap of the Micro plug it into the usb slot and hopefully your pc will detect and show this extra memory {256mb}as an extra drive. All you have to do is drag any files you want to transfer/store onto in,let it finish doing it before unplugging Thats it in a nutshell if you need to transfer larger files you can always "zip" them or use software called filesplit {freeware} to carve the data into managable chunks. One proble this unit being so small about 3.5 inch x 1 x0.5 I keep putting it down and cannot find it
