When the player arrived, I was surprised at just how small this player is, it looked unassuming and compact on the illustration but was not expecting something so miniature. When my mum listened to it she was very impressed and so at that point I wanted to hear it for myself.
Firstly the mp3 player has a nice design and layout, it is easy to navigate through the range of options which include listening to all music, music by artist, by category etc. You also have the option of adding bass boost to the player which initially I felt lift the weight of the music and give it a fuller feel. Also of interest is the radio which allows you to connect and lock on to quite a strong signal for fm stations.
The player unlike many others is designed with an attached clip allowing you to clip it onto your jeans and not have to worry about it falling off. However on to the sound quality this mp3 player offers and in stark contrast to my much more expensive go gear phillips mp3 player, exceeds it by some distance. It is recommended by myself that as much as you can you use high bitrate mp3's to get the best out of this.
Upon listening to some rock music and pop music (mums of course) you appreciate the depth of the sound that this mp3 player is able to produce. Vocals are full and thus have character to them, the bass resonates very well considering this is only an mp3 player, musical instruments have a definite dynamic scale to them and what's more, unlike some mp3 players, you definitely won't be wishing for more volume, this is enough to block out most annoying background sounds and allow you to fully appreciate the music.
This is a bargain and with a storage capacity of 8gb will allow you to fit on thousands of your mp3 players. The process of deleting and transferring more songs via a usb cable, is very smooth and efficient. This is definitely recommended especially for those after something impressive but not threatening to break the bank.
Summary: Superb mp3 player which puts much more costly ones in their place

great little mp3 player!excellent battery life with an absolutely cracking memory for a great price.
i paid about £60 for mine online and its the 8gb version. battery lasts forever, especially as i use it as the mp3 player for my car sterio with the volume up full and shuffle on constantly, think the last time i charged it was about 3 weeks ago! for such a small device, the battery is second to none.
not too easy to use windows media as i used ... ...but once i figured it out twas all dandy. you have some great added features with windows media such as being able to store movies, photos etc on the sansa (even though you cant view them) for transfer to another player. it works well as a memory card too, so if you have word docs etc, store away on the memory and just upload them to another computer.
screen is nice and easy to read, if a little small, colour contrasts work well making it simple ...

Advantages: small, lightweight, stylish Disadvantages: USB charged, keeps hiding at the bottom of my bag.
I have a pet hate when it comes to Ipods, so when my old MP3 player finally gave up the ghost I replaced it with this sandisc sansa clip 8GB. I've had it for a couple of weeks now, and it's proving to be a handy little device. It is small, good looking, lightweight and holds a fair amount of music. Setup was easy (just plug into a computer and go), with a good 'drag and drop' option for transferring files. The fact that it's compatible with Windows ... ...but still clear to read, and radio is as good at the one on my mobile and the controls are easy to use. The main drawback is probably the need to recharge it with a USB port – though you can get adaptors (I'm currently using the LUPO USB Power adapter mains charger UK) The USB cable itself is also rather short, but it hasn't proven to be too much of a problem. One other tip I should give is that when you first charge it, don't interrupt it until ...

Having had the Sansa Clip 8GB for about a month now i have some observations. Positives first, it really is tiny and very lightweight and has a good appearence. Fm radio has pretty good reception when out and about. However it doesn't seem to have the best battery life if used on shuffle mode and the menu isn't as easy to navigatge as i would like, obviously thats personal prefrence, i think anyone used to a ipod would be fine with the menu. It doesn't ... ...connection to charge which isn't always easily available. For me the small size and weight is also a bit of a negative issue as it can quite easily lose itself in a deep pocket or bag and lead to some mild panic before locating it. Overall though its a good little product that isn't too expensive from the right place. ...
