I recently purchased one of these mp3 players for my mum having noticed it in the Argos Catalgoue. Having owned an mp3 player for the last year I have quickly took to the benefits of having hundreds or indeed thousands of songs at your fingertips.
When the player arrived, I was surprised at just how small this player is, it looked unassuming and compact on the illustration but was not expecting something so miniature. When my mum listened to it she was very impressed and so at that point I wanted to hear it for myself.
Firstly the mp3 player has a nice design and layout, it is easy to navigate through the range of options which include listening to all music, music by artist, by category etc. You also have the option of adding bass boost to the player which initially I felt lift the weight of the music and give it a fuller feel. Also of interest is the radio which allows you to connect and lock on to quite a strong signal for fm stations.
The player unlike many others is designed with an attached clip allowing you to clip it onto your jeans and not have to worry about it falling off. However on to the sound quality this mp3 player offers and in stark contrast to my much more expensive go gear phillips mp3 player, exceeds it by some distance. It is recommended by myself that as much as you can you use high bitrate mp3's to get the best out of this.
Upon listening to some rock music and pop music (mums of course) you appreciate the depth of the sound that this mp3 player is able to produce. Vocals are full and thus have character to them, the bass resonates very well considering this is only an mp3 player, musical instruments have a definite dynamic scale to them and what's more, unlike some mp3 players, you definitely won't be wishing for more volume, this is enough to block out most annoying background sounds and allow you to fully appreciate the music.
This is a bargain and with a storage capacity of 8gb will allow you to fit on thousands of your mp3 players. The process of deleting and transferring more songs via a usb cable, is very smooth and efficient. This is definitely recommended especially for those after something impressive but not threatening to break the bank.
Summary: Superb mp3 player which puts much more costly ones in their place
