It's improved the write speed of my slow 300D considerably, and has done exactly what it's been designed to do.
In the box you are provided with a recovery disk (not needed to test it yet to see how/ if it works), and a neat little carry case with space for two cards to put on your bag/ keys! Very nifty.
I'll be using this card for many years to come, and I recommend shopping around for the lowest price, don't pay through the nose at a high-street store!

Advantages: Performance and speed Disadvantages: Higher cost than lower level models
...better than the lower speed Sandisk Compact Flashes or other makes. The cameras have not as yet had to stop shooting to allow the card to catch up to write data during picture taking even in rapid fire sports mode. Have had no failure with data capture and have been used in extreme temperatures, holiday in Australia (39C) and a family wedding in Austria (-10C). The cards didn't seem to lose any performance in the big changes in temperature which ...

Advantages: Fast, reliable and cheap Disadvantages: none I know of
...problems with any of my Sandisk cards it is common wisdom that it is better to use several 2gb or 1gb cards rather than a large capacity one. The reason is that when something does go wrong, you do not loose all of your data. The speed is great and I have never experienced any lag with extreme iii cards. The cards are fast but they cannot perform miracles if your camera is slow with a small buffer. Sandisk have recently come up with the "iv" version ...

...I have had the Sandisk Extreme III 2GB compact flash card for about two six months and have taken about 150 hi-resolution pictures during this perios.
It will take you a while to use up this 2GB card that should hold nearly 1000 quality photographs with your average 5 megapixel camera nowadays. If your not to bothered about high resolution images then generally you should be able to store three or four times as many lower quality photos than you ... ...a good idea
