Compact Flash cards are fast becoming one of the most popular removable storage devices in use today. They are possibly one of the great inventions of the digital photographic revolution. There are increasing numbers of manufacturers of cameras and other photo related products who are adopting this format for their products and i suppose you can see why when they are so compact.
You'll find for example that better inkjet printers will now have a Sandisk slot somewhere. Therefore, it isn't likely that you will have compatibility problems as you'll find this card is usable with a wide range of items such as cameras, PDAs and other electrical devices that require some sort of memory storage
As far as speed is concerned it's unlikely you'll be disappointed with a Sandisk card as they are reckoned to be as fast as any others out there on the market. The cards are really quite easy to install. You just push them into the expansion slot located on the side or underside of your camera. Just make sure that you slot it the right way up or you may damage it.
I have had the Sandisk Extreme III 4GBcompact flash card for about two six months and have taken about 300 hi-resolution pictures during this perios.
It has worked fine in a variety of weather conditions. According to the manufacturers guide, Sandisk Extreme III Compact Flash cards are tested in extreme temperature ranges from -13 to +185 degrees Fahrenheit) so It should continue to work fine in hot or cold climates . It will take you a while to use up this 4GB card that should hold nearly 2000 quality photographs with your average 5 megapixel camera nowadays. I have a 6 megapixel camera and have yet to use up all the memory for it.
If your not to bothered about high resolution images then generally you should be able to store three or four times as many lower quality photos than you do for higher quality photos.
One thing I like about using a card like this is that it is less time consuming as there is no need to use USB cables when it comes to comes to uploading photographs onto your computer so you view/ print them out.
All I do now is just pop the card out of my camera and slot it into my computer (most new home PCs now have Sandisk slots). You can also bypass the computer and just slot the card into a compatible printer in order to print out your pictures direct or take it along to a high street photographic print shop (I don't think you can call them 'developers' anymore).
There are a number of useful features with this card. A minimum of 20MB/sec sequential write and read speed allows you to capture large image files more quickly and allow for faster viewing of images and faster data transfer rates - though in practice it will probably be very difficult to tell that this is indeed the case.
The card also comes packaged with a mini-CD for data recovery software called RescuePRO. This allows you to recover photos that have been accidentally deleted which is a clever and handy idea.
Specifications: Storage Capacity: 4 GB Read Speed: 133x (20MB Per Sec) Write Speed: 133x (20MB Per Sec) Dimensions: 36.4mm x 42.8mm x 3.3mm
At present the price for this Sandisk compact flash card can vary considerably in price so it is best shopping around as there may be a bargain out there that is waiting for you!.

A couple of typos and I thought the presentation was a little disjointed, otherwise I would have given a VH, let me know if you update and I will relook.
