Sandisk MINI-SD Secure Digital 512 MB

Advantages: Fast, Cheap
Disadvantages: Lack of backwards compatability

...I bought the Sandisk Ultra II 4GB card after purchasing my new 14.6mp camera, which produces RAW files of around 12-14mb! I clearly needed an upgrade because my older 2GB SD cards could only store 70 photos. I wanted a card that would combine speed, capacity, and value for money - and so I landed at the Class 4 Sandisk SDHC Ultra II 4GB card. I've had experience with Sandisk before, and wanted to stick with them especially after I found out that this card has a lifetime limited warranty, and has been tested to be compatible with a large range of high-end digital cameras. Advantages: Fast, durable

...I originally bought this card to go with my digital camera. It had to be big enough to fit lots of images and movies. But it had to be more than that. It had to be fast. And cheap. This Sandisk card fits the bill. It's fairly large 512MB space means I can store hundreds of 4 megapixel shots, or about 4 minutes of video from my camera. The speed is important, such that it can keep up with both my camera, and my PC when transferring onto my hard disk. The card came with a 'manual' (one side of printed paper), but to be honest, I didn't find it worth the read (not that it would take long). It's all common sense - *do* put in PC, camera, PDA, *don't* eat. But at the end of the day, it's just a little bit of plastic, barely an inch long, that has survived rain, dirt, the washing machine, and constant shuttling between devices. It wipes... Read review
