I originally bought the SanDisk 8GB micro SDHC card for my Samsung SGH-G600 phone, not having read in the user manual that the maximum capacity card it could accommodate is 2GB. Don't get me wrong, it did work in the phone but it showed a capacity of 1GB and would not allow any ineteraction with the Samsung PC Studio software.
Being somewhat disgruntled that I had wasted my money, the card lay in a drawer unused for about six months until one day, whilst rummaging through my various electronic bits-and-bobs, I found the I had a micro SD adapter. At this point a bulb appeared above my head and I wondered if the micro SDHC card (in the adapter) might work in my Fuji FunePix S1000 camera. Eureka, it did!
Until this point I had been restricted to taking around a hundred photos in any outing with a 512MB XD card (I like to take them at the highest resolution and quality available). Now I was liberated; I could take 1600 pictures without having to rush home and upload them. What had started out as an accidental purchase had now become the best thing since sliced-bread.
Of course, as long as a memory card stores data reliably - and does it without any problems or notable time-lag, there isn't much to criticise about it. The only problem I have encountered is that the SD slot in my PC doesn't recognise SDHC so I have to upload pictures via the camera's USB lead. I believe this is the case with a lot of computers so it is worth checking before you buy.

Some HC type cards can't be read in older PC's but strangely they might work if put in an adapter. Example: I had a XD "H" type card which my card reader on my printer wouldn't read so I put it in a compact flash XD adapter and hey presto! result! Still, you can get a multi-card reader for a few pounds now so its all good.

I've been looking to buy one of these for my new phone. It's always handy having the adapters, then it has more uses like the Wii, camera's and even some HDTV's. Ta for the info. Can you do a test on transfer times to and from the PC (if you can be bothered) and let me know? PLZ :)
