Advantages: Fast, Cheap Disadvantages: Lack of backwards compatability
...I bought the Sandisk Ultra II 4GB card after purchasing my new 14.6mp camera, which produces RAW files of around 12-14mb! I clearly needed an upgrade because my older 2GB SD cards could only store 70 photos. I wanted a card that would combine speed, capacity, and value for money - and so I landed at the Class 4Sandisk SDHC Ultra II 4GB card. I've had experience with Sandisk before, and wanted to stick with them especially after I found out that this card has a lifetime limited warranty, and has been tested to be compatible with a large range of high-end digital cameras.
The Sandisk Ultra II SDHC 4GB card (Which I will now refer to as "The card" to save any confusion), has read speeds of 10mb/sec, and write speeds of 9mb/sec, producing an excellent performance on my camera.
Previously when I used my older 2GB card, I didnt have a USB...

Advantages: Quick read and write speeds, cheap, huge amount of space, long and extensive warranty Disadvantages: Nothing
...quick card, huge amount of space, excellent warranty, not much more expensive than a normal sandisk 2GB sd card. 10 MB/s read speed and 9MB/s write speed are faster than a normal sandisk card, but not as much as a (considerably more expensive) extreme III or IV. 10 year warranty covers most incidents for a long time. Card only really shows its extra speed over a normal sandisk sd card when in a SLR or prosumer camera, and it really helps if you have a card reader in your computer to make use of the faster read speed. Best value card at the moment, better than an sdhc card at the moment. 2GB gives a huge amount of space for photos (i get 1100 photos with it on my 6 mexapixel canon powershot s3is) Quick read and write speeds, cheap, huge amount of space and a very long and extensive warranty all add up to an amazing card. Even comes case...

Advantages: Cheap and Cheerful Disadvantages: Time delay as card fills up
.... The larger the space on the card the more money it was going to cost which is typical with pretty much everything in this world. You can have an Ultra card, and extreme card, a multi-use a special edition and even a plus card – the choice for just one brand was mind blowing enough without exploring any further.
As I was only a beginner I only wanted a small memory card and was only looking for 1 or 2 GB. Finally I came across the SanDisk ultra II 1.0GB and was really quite impressed with what I was reading.

Having bought this card to be used in Canon EOS 20D & 40D digital cameras they are extremely rapid and much better than the lower speed Sandisk Compact Flashes or other makes. The cameras have not as yet had to stop shooting to allow the card to catch up more
