I bought the San Disc E250 from E-bay about 6 months ago. I paid £52 for it and I was quite pleased because I have seen the same Mp3 player on other online sites being sold for alot more than what I paid for it. The best thing about it is that it is really compact and full of features which I will explain in more details further on in this review.
~~~~~~~~~~~ Appearance ~~~~~~~~~~~ I was looking for a lightweight stylish looking MP3 player which was quite small and light weight.The SansDisc has a silver backing on it. The front of it is shiny and black and has a 4cm TFT colour screen, below the screen it has the various function keys which are in a circular shape with a light blue ring in the middle. When the MP3 player is in use the function dial glows bright blue, this makes the MP3 player look more attractive and also it makes using the keys easier because it lights them up. The function keys are really easy to use, the function keys easily allow you to :~
play / pause
skip
adjust volume
access the menu
stop
~~~~~~~~~~~~ Size & Weight ~~~~~~~~~~~~ The Mp3 player is really light weight and compact. I like it because it easily slips inside your pocket or inside your bag without taking up any room. The SansDisc weighs 75g and is quite thin and long. This MP3 player measures W4.4cm x D8.9cm x H1.3cm.
The TFT colour
screen on the MP3 is quite small it measures 1.8 inches from corner to corner. The screen is big enough to view your stored photographs on it and to view short video clips. When you are viewing images or photos on the screen they are really clear and bright.
~~~~~~~~ Features ~~~~~~~~ Music ~ The MP3 player allows you to store and play back your music tracks on it. The MP3 player supports MP3, WMA and protected WMA tracks. The MP3 has a stereo output sound and a built in equaliser on it. The equaliser allows you to choose between Rock, Pop and Classical sound outputs. When your music tracks are playing on the MP3 player you can see the name of the track on the TFT screen. The MP3 player easily allows you to skip, shuffle, repeat one track, repeat all tracks and organise your music into playlists.
Voice Recorder ~ The MP3 player has a built in voice recorder which you can use to record things and play them back. I usually use the voice recorder to remember me what I need to buy at the supermarket , or if im out of the house I use it to remember me to do something when I get home.
Photo Playback ~ The MP3 player allows you to store your images on it. The image types which the MP3 player allows you to store and play back are BMP, GIF, JPEG, PNG, TIFF. The TFT screen allows you to easily and clearly see your photos. All the photos which you have stores on the Mp3 player are played back to you in a slide show so you dont need to keep pressing the forward button to see the next image because the MP3 player does it automatically for you.
Video Playback ~ You can store and playback short video clips on this MP3 player. The sound and vodeo quality is good. It allows you to store and playback AVI, MOV, MPEG-4, WMV, ASF, MPEG-1, MPEG-2, VOB files. If you have alot of video clips stored on your MP3 player you have the option to play them in a play list, shuffle, repeat all, repeat one and random play.
~~~~~~~~~~ Packaging ~~~~~~~~~~ The Sans Disc is supplied in a rectangular box. On the box it tells you the features of the MP3 player and how much storage it has. Inside the box you get :-
~~~~~~~~~~~~ The Battery ~~~~~~~~~~~~ The MP3 player has a built in Lithium - ionrechargable battery inside it. To charge the battery you have to connect the USB lead to your computer and then attatch the other end to your MP3 player and leave it until it tells you on the TFT screen that the battery is fully charged. It usually takes about an hour and a half for my MP3 player to get fully charged. Once it is fully charged I usually dont need to charge it again for about 3 days. The battery lasts for about 5- 7 hours before it needs to be fully charged again
You can see how much battery life you have on the MP3 player of you look at the TFT screen. You will see a little battery in the top corner. If the battery icon is solid with colour it means that you have a full battery and if the battery has no colour in it it means that you need to charge it. The battery meter on the MP3 player is the same as a mobile phone.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ How to Transfer Files to the MP3 Player ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Once you have installed your disc onto your computer you can start to store your music, video and photo files on your MP3 player. To do this all you have to do is connect your MP3 player to your computer using the supplied USB lead. Once you have done this all you have to do is drag and drop your files into the MP3 player folder. Or you can select all the files you want to transfer by clicking on them and holding ctrl, this will highlight the files you are selecting, once you are finished selecting the files you want to transfer you left click on your mouse and them select move to removable disc E.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ How Much Can I store on this MP3 player? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The sansDisc MP3 player has a built in memory of 2GB. The 2GB memory on the MP3 player means that at a maximum it will hold 1000 full length music tracks, or 700 photos. I have a combination of music and photos stored on my MP3 player and I still have loads of memory left. I think I have about 400 songs and 150 photos on it and i hava about 30% of memory left on it.
Although one of the best advantages of this MP3 player is that you can buy a micro sd memory card and insert it into the MP3 player so as it gives you more memory if you meed it. You can buy a 2GB memory card for about £15-20. I find that the 2GB that is already on my MP3 player is more than adequite for me.
~~~~~~~~~~ My Opinion ~~~~~~~~~~ I have has this MP3 player for around 6 months now and it is still working perfectly. The Mp3 player is really hardwearing because I have dropped it and got it wet loads of times because I am quite clumsy lol. Even although the MP3 player had been dropped on the floor and had water spilled on it, it is still working perfectly. There has been no sound damage or no damage to the TFT screen. The only thing I had to replace was the headphones which were supplied with the MP3 player because after about 5 weeks you couldnt listen to music throught them, so I had to go and buy a pair which only cost about £4 from argos.
If you are looking for a MP3 player which allows you to view pictures, videos, voice record and listen to music then I would reccommend that you consider this one because it is really hardwearing and the sound and volume are top quality. The MP3 player is so simple and easy to use aswell.
Design ~ 4/5 Sound Quality ~ 5/5 Visual Display ~ 5/5 Ease Of Use ~ 5/5 Storage capacity ~ 5/5
(+) Great screen quality and size, built in speaker and stand. (-) The only downside is that it is fragile, and can be hard to get used to the on screen keyboard.
I also have this mp3 only its 6 gb.I think it sgreat I did change the earphones to sony one sthough as looked cheap.
I;ve gave you a very good rating it was a very good review and has tons of information !
