Prior to purchasing this MP3 player, I had an ipod nano. I didn't dislike the ipod, but I hated itunes. I find it amazing that Apple have gone out of their way to make it as difficult as possible to add or remove music from an MP3 player. The Sansa on the other hand is simplicity itself, when it is plugged into your computer, it is seen as any other storage device, and music is added or removed by simply sending music to the item, or deleting it, simple! One of the really good things about the Sansa, is that it has a slot for a micro SD card, I have a 2GB card installed, which boosts the memory to 6GB for only the cost of the card. Unfortunately, my Sansa being a couple of years old, will not accept the newer and larger SDHC card, so 2GB is my maximum, I do not know if the newer Sansa's take the SDHC card, but if they do, these cards are available in much larger sizes. With the 6GB I have available, I have 1500 songs on my player. The Sansa has never failed me in two years, and the sound quality is far superior to the ipod. The built in battery in the Sansa is easily replaced by the user, unlike the ipod which has to be sent back to Apple for battery replacement. I purchased a spare batter when I bought the player, as my experience with the Nano was that the batteries do not last very long. Well, two years on, and the original battery is still going strong, despite the player being used at least 3 times every day. The screen on the player is very clear, full colour. I bought a set of JVC marshmellow earphones, which are tremendous. The only downside with the Sansa compared to the ipod, is that there are many more accessories available for ipod, like docking stations. I use my Sansa at home, plugged into my hifi via a 3.5mm audio cable from the players earphone socket, into a Line In input on my hifi, this works just fine, however I have just ordered a Sansa Docking Station (£32), which keeps the Sansa charged, and comes with it's own remote control, so you can change tracks etc without having to touch the player. Overall, very highly recommended, and far superior to ipod nano.
Recently replaced my 4gb Sansa with a new 8gb Version 2 model, main difference being that 'V2' models can take the newer High Capacity micro SD cards, so I have an 8gb card in mine, giving an overall capacity of 16gb, brilliant. I love these players.
Update on the docking station, it works brilliantly, let down slightly by the poor quality 3.5mm to 2 phono cable to connect the item to a hifi. I have replaced this with a higher quality one and the difference is immense. A top buy for anyone with a Sansa e200 series player.

(+) Great screen quality and size, built in speaker and stand. (-) The only downside is that it is fragile, and can be hard to get used to the on screen keyboard.
