(+) Great screen quality and size, built in speaker and stand. (-) The only downside is that it is fragile, and can be hard to get used to the on screen keyboard.
Advantages: Cheap, Small, Excellent music quality and easy to use Disadvantages: Screen is small due to the size of the player but fine to watch short videos on.

OPENING THE SANSA When you get your Sansa Fuze it comes in a box with proprietary USB cable, and earbuds. However a wall charger does not come with it. I bought a wall charger separately which was £10 from Amazon so I can charge it when I am on holiday without my laptop.
DESIGN The wheel is made of matte plastic that fits in well with the design. The rotation of the wheel is smooth. The player has a 'velvet-like rubber' on the back plate which is extremely resistant to wear and tear; it?s also nice to keep it from sliding out of your hand!
FEATURES - Radio The reception is as good as radio reception gets on an mp3 player and the auto program feature only the clear stations. It can also record radio in WAV format but the function is very basic. It does however, have the ability to set the duration of the recording. This may be handy if you like recording your favourite radio show.
-Voice Recording Voice recording also uses WAV format, but it does not have the ability to set the duration of the recoding. The feature works quite well and picks up sound well from the mic located right below the microSD slot. Not sure if it can be used as a Dictaphone though as it was not great at recording the lectures I went to.
-Photo Viewer This feature works like most other photo viewers with list or thumbnail views available. Slide intervals can be set for the slide show with or without music.
- microSD Slot The microSD memory will allow you to add up to 12GB of extra memory to the device. The card integrates with the player to create one menu of songs, videos, photos etc. When transferring music the memory card shows up as a separate storage in transfer mode on your computer, so you will be able to choose where to put your music and photos.
TRANSFERRING MUSIC This is very simple and is done using Windows Media player so there is not need to install software on your computer. The 'drag and drop' method is very quick and easy.
Advantages: Cheap, superb sound quality and compact. Disadvantages: Poor screen resolution, limited file format compatibility.
...appearance wise, and it seems SanDisk have copied Apple in a few ways. There is the click wheel, which looks very similar but is in fact mechanical rather than touch operated. This means that it is slightly slower and not as smooth but feels more durable and is easier to control. The screen size is very slightly smaller than that on the 3rd generation Nano, although the difference is hardly noticeable. Despite this, video playback on the Fuze is ... ...renders the screen unsuitable for any long videos. Getting the videos on the player in the first place is a pain too. The Fuze can only play a very small range of formats (including MPEG-4) and to move the videos on to the player you have to download the ‘SanDisk Media Converter’, which, to put simply, is clunky and annoying. There are options to trim the videos and you can also crop photos to be put onto the player. These photos look reasonable ...

Advantages: Good quality sound, nice design, cheap Disadvantages: dull plastic cover, plain menu
Product description
The SanDiskSansaFuze is a good quality mp3 player with built in FM radio, photo viewer and video playback. It is simiilar in design to an iPod but is a much more affordable player.
The Design
This is quite a small mps player as it measures around 3 inches long by 2 inches wide. It isn't as thin as some though and is around a third of an inch thick. The fact that the width is two thirds of the length gives it a bit of a fat oval look that may out some people off. However, It fits comfortably in your hand and feels more "solid" than some of the thinner, smaller mp3's available. A main design point that stands out is the clickable, scroll wheel. These are appearing on many cheap iPod rip offs and used to be put me off because they made them look cheap and unreliable. This is not the case with the Fuze ...
Advantages: Small, cheap, capacity can be expanded, radio record feature Disadvantages: Only supplied with USB charger, no clip, have to use their software to upload videos and photos
caught my eye and were within budget. One of the great things about shopping on the internet is the ability it gives you to read reviews from people who have bought in the past, and this ruled out a few models on the grounds of "cheap rubbish".
I kept being drawn towards the SansaFuze from SanDisk however - the price was within my budget and the features were what I was looking for. Online reviews were generally very positive. Moreover, it was available in red, which is my daughter's favourite colour!
I consulted my daughter about the aesthetics (which are all she cares about) and received the thumbs up, so I ordered one on the Argos website and duly picked it up the next day. It cost £48.69 and came with a 3" CD-ROM, a USB cable, earphones, a black protective case and the player. There was also a "mini" user guide which is useful to get ...
Advantages: Good price, durable, practical, very easy to use, a quality product Disadvantages: slightly small, software
SANDISKSANSAFUZE is a very good MP3 and video player, despite not being as widely advertised as some of its rivals, it is far superior to most other brands. I have owned Philips, Zen and Sony MP3 players, and I have to say that this Sandisk model beats them with ease. As soon as you get it out of the box, you can feel by its weight and feel that it is different and even better, very well made.
First for its ease of use, and responsiveness, it's quick as lightning on your choices, this seems like a given in a mp3 player, however, in my experience, I have had in my hands incredibly slow and unresponsive players.
Its capacity is also a plus, it's got a slot for Sandisk Micro SD's extra GB cards, so as much content as you want can be stored.
The range of functions is similar to others of its class, but what puts it apart is, as I ...
