<> SanDisk is the undisputed champion of flash memory; if you're buying a product form them you can expect high quality with a small price tag and the 2GB Secure Digitalmemory card is no exception to this rule. Like many people I chose to buy one for my digital camera to store more pictures. SD is a common format and is used in a wide range of PDAs. Mp3 players, etc, which means it's compatible with most card readers so files can therefore be transported easily between device and computer.
<> This product isn't small when compared to other memory cards, but it's amazing to think that it has a 2GB capacity. Its size also means that you can easily lose it so a handy plastic case is included for when the card isn't in use.
To insert the SD you simply push it into the empty memory card slot and wait for the reassuring click that indicates it's locked in place. One thing to remember when doing this is to get the card the right way round because it can break easy if used wrong, but SanDisk claim that it can withstand a drop from 9 foot, so I doubt this will happen.
<> 2GBs is as huge amount of memory for something as small as this SD card. As I purchased the product to expand the memory on my digital camera I'll give you a bit of information about how many pictures it can store.
6 Mega pixels - 640 pictures 5 Mega pixels - 816 pictures 4 Mega pixels - 1024 pictures 3 Mega pixels - 1696 pictures 2 Mega pixels - 2272 pictures
This is only a guideline and obviously higher mega pixel cameras or higher resolutions will reduce the amount of images you can store.
<> Amazon are currently selling this product for £11, which is pretty good value for money when you think of the capacity and quality of the card. A SanDisk 2GB Ultra II is only about £2 more expensive and gives you a lot more speed, but at £8 the Kingston SD is probably the cheapest you'll find.
<> An excellent choice if simple, reliable storing is all you want to do. I would recommend the SanDisk Ultra II SD if you're looking for something with a bit more speed, but make sure your device is compatible with this first. Kingston is also a brand to look out for if you want something that's cheaper and better value for money.
