The plates slide out for easy cleaning, although most of the time they only need a wipe as the plates are non stick. It also heats up quickly and seals the bread well. Breville is an excellent make and when it comes to toasty makers is the only one to buy. They make a quick, easy and tasty snack. I have the stainless steel and black TR48 which matches my other appliances in the kitchen. It has 2 deep fill plates so you can put in 4 pieces of bread. I have no problems cleaning this at all. its very easy. You simply remove the plates after they have cooled by unclipping and washing them and clipping back in place. ...

Exceptionally easy to use and a staple for my kitchen. The next grilleration foreman grill is easy to use as it has variable temperature settings and a built in timer, meaning all you have to do is switch it on and chuck some meat on it. Size-wise it fits about 4 chicken breasts which is a decent size, but for the price i would have liked something which could handle more food.
