Don't burn your tongue! This is hot!!!
Advantages: quick toasting, easy to use, perfect sandwich every time Disadvantages: beans, burnt tongue
The Cookworks stainless steel sandwich toaster is a great, cheap way of making tasty snacks. I bought it for £15 and it has turned out more than worth its value. Its a 2 slice sandwich toaster so its enough to cook for two people at a time, or one if you're greedy. The actual base of the toaster is fairly small which can leave more than needed around the edge of the slice of the bread. One great feature is the extendable roof to the sandwich toaster ... ...enabling you to fill your sandwich with more ingrediants without worrying about spillage. It toasts the sanwich easily in a couple of minutes and heats the ingrediants inside, melting cheese deliciously, although it does become piping hot and you will burn your tongue if you don't allow it to cool; and i only encountered one problem. When trying to make my favourite toasted sandwich (darylea, ham and beans), while it is heating, the beans tend to ...

Raw To Toasted In 3.5 Minutes
Advantages: Quick and easy to use, very cheap, long lasting Disadvantages: Bad at cutting, outside gets hot
...Mine is a white, Cookworks model that cost the very reasonable sum of £7.99 from T J Hughes in the summer of 2000, when I was stocking up on kitchen stuff in preparation of going off to university. Since then it has been used, on average, once a week and continues to serve me well. It is showing no signs of wear and tear beyond the slight fading of the Cookworks name on the top. It still heats as quickly as it always does, toasts as evenly and remains ... ...on traditional toaster toast.
Cookworks have many different sandwich makers available, in varying sizes and colours to suit all kitchens. Argos and Index have good selections, or look online. It’s not the classiest or most expensive brand out there, but it gets the job done, and I’ll be sticking with mine for a long time to come. ...

Cheap as part of a set
Advantages: good value, cheerful colour for the kitchen Disadvantages: no timer/automatic switch-off
This is the very first sandwich-maker I've ever owned. I bought it three weeks ago, and have used it a lot.
It never occurred to me to buy such a 'gadget'. But Argos sold it as part of a three-item set - toaster, tea-kettle and sandwich maker. All three were so cheap - costing hardly more than a teakettle alone. I needed a teakettle, so I thought, why not spend just a little bit more and get a toaster and a 'gadget' at the same time.
I didn't expect ... ...great to have *hot* sandwiches on cold days like today (ARGH. Freezing!), and it's ever so easy to use.
Easy to clean, too. I find I don't have to do more than wipe off a few crumbs.
Since I'm a lazy cook, I often use it to make 'leftover sandwiches'. I simply put a big dollop of the remains of last night's dinner (stir-fry, fishfingers, or whatever remained uneaten) on a slice of buttered bread, another slice on top, that's it. Within minutes, ...

I AM A COOKING GOD
Advantages: Simple to use, quick snack provider Disadvantages: Messy if overfilled, hot cooking plates
WOOLWORTHS SANDWICH MAKER
Approximately one year ago, in the last few days of the Woolworths stores being a common sight on our high streets, I bought a Woolworths Sandwich Maker for a price of £4.99, and until recently, it had remained unused in a kitchen cupboard.
Two weeks ago, whilst looking for something else, I came across the sandwich maker still in its box in the cupboard, and decided to start using it.
To this day, I regret not ... ...I have used it on a daily basis, and is a wonderful idea for quick hot snacks, and the children love dads quick cooking too – that in itself is a miracle as when I had suggested cooking or making a snack they would make a face. Not any more though.
CONTROLS AND FEATURES
The unit itself measures approximately 25 cm by 25 cm and is approximately 9 cm tall, and stands on 4 little legs.
The controls could not be simpler (which is good as far ...

The Breville TR48 is convinients and smart
Advantages: It is really easy to use without reading the manual, durable and easy to clean. Disadvantages: The hinges tend to loosen when used on hard bread and the product takes time to heat up
In my experience the Breville TR48 is very convenient to use, it was a major deference from other toasters I have used in the past I didn't have to wait on end only for the bread to come out overdone or underdone, I can check easily from time to time if I am too impatient. I was able to introduce a lot of innovation to my toasting, I can put in raw eggs, onions, sources and toast at the same time, it is incredible in making sandwiches. Since the ...
