Breville TR48... a quick and tasty snack
Review of Breville TR48 by starbabe30586

Advantages: Easyclean, Non Stick, Easy to use
Disadvantages: Non

Breville is an excellent make and when it comes to toasty makers is the only one to buy. They make a quick, easy and tasty snack. I have the stainless steel and black TR48 which matches my other appliances in the kitchen. It has 2 deep fill plates so you can put in 4 pieces of bread. I have no problems cleaning this at all. its very easy. You simply remove the plates after they have cooled by unclipping and washing them and clipping back in place. ...
...with the bread sticking. I once made a tuna and cheese toasty which turned into a bit of a mess but need to try it again :) It has a power on light and a ready to cook light, you put your sandwich in and leave it until the light comes on again and its always golden brown. I bought it on sale so paid £20. ... Read review

A Kitchen Staple with Longevity
Review of George Foreman 12205 NEXT Grilleration by Jammie87

Advantages: Speed of Cooking, Ease of Use, Removable Plates
Disadvantages: Top Plastic Cover is flimsy

Exceptionally easy to use and a staple for my kitchen. The next grilleration foreman grill is easy to use as it has variable temperature settings and a built in timer, meaning all you have to do is switch it on and chuck some meat on it. Size-wise it fits about 4 chicken breasts which is a decent size, but for the price i would have liked something which could handle more food. The reason i bought one was for the removable plates, which are the best ...
...stick the plates in the microwave means that this model had great longevity compared to the lesser models which will accumulate grease etc easily. I do have a complaint with the top section though, the plastic cover over the top was extremely flimsy and broke within a few weeks, although this doesnt really affect the grill that much since the primary use is just to cook meat. The grill also comes with a handy recipe book and a couple of fat-drip ... Read review

Don't loaf around the kitchen.
Review of Breville TR39 by runetune

Advantages: Not just a toasted sandwich maker
Disadvantages: Can take a little while to cool down

...decided to go for the Breville TR39 Sandwich press. ~ The Difference between a sandwich press and toaster ~ Well basically it all comes down to the hinges. A sandwich toaster has fixed hinges and allows you to use regular bread, which it then turns into a toasted sandwich using either one or two compartments. It also means your not as restricted in the slice of bread in overall size (often our old machine wouldn't take more than a small loaf slice). ...
...hinges that allow for thicker bread like ciabata, panini and focaccia. Great if like us you enjoy a variation on the toasted sandwich dream. ~ The Toasted Sandwich ~ The first noticeable difference between this and the toasted sandwich maker is there are no compartments that the bread fits into. This also means you don't get the edges sealed in the same way, nor do you have the sandwich "sealed" in half. I admit I was a little concerned that the ... Read review

Breval Panini Maker
Review of Breville TR40 by misseskimo

Advantages: Easy to use and clean, smart looking, great for cooking anything!
Disadvantages: None that I've found just yet!

I love this machine! I've had it a few years now and don't kow what I did before without it! Besides being a compact size and a remarkably convenient appliance, the stylish stainless steel and black colourings are a distinctive feature; which are easy to match with other kitchen appliances on the market at the moment. It's easy to use and has a smoth wipe-clean surface, it also doesn't get too hot on the outside when it's on and cooking. You can ... Read review

These Fillings Are Great To Have
Review of Bush TS281 by belfin

Advantages: Hot food in minutes
Disadvantages: Plates could be bigger

***Background*** I have a confession to make - I love toasties. Whether it's a simple ham and cheese or a slightly more unusual version like banana, I'm addicted at lunchtime. I find that they are a lot more filling than just standard toast and because the filling heats up too, it tastes like you are having a proper cooked lunch. Our last toastie machine had been around in the house for years and had been constantly used but it was looking a bit ...
...wedding presents last year we decided to upgrade. This coincided with my daughter going off to university and she had already mentioned taking the old one with her. There aren't really a great many options out there these days for toastie machines so choice was a little bit limited but we were looking for something that would cook two sandwiches at the same time and also something that would blend in with our black/chrome accessories. ***The Machine*** ...
