- Price and Packaging -

Bought in my local 'Home Bargains' store for just £1 for a 500ml bottle which is a big bargain as it's currently in Morrisons for £2.69.

This shower gel is packaged in a predominantly white plastic bottle with a blue top section. This section has a press down section at the top to show a small hole from which the gel is dispensed.

- What is promises / What is it? -

~ Specially formulated to help skin stay naturally protected.
~ Reinforces skin's natural defences.
~ Keeps skin healthy.
~ Soap-free.
~ Dermatologically approved.
~ Suitable for all the family.
~ Suitable for all skin types.

- My Experience -

I rarely use shower gels due to a lack of one (a shower) at the moment at home but on my summer visit to Italy I used a few gels, this being one of the bargains I took over with me.

~ The Smell

This gel has quite a strong soap-based smell to it despite it's claim of being soap-free. It's a good unisex gel which means that it cuts down on having to pack separate his and her shower gels!

~ Appearance

This is a white gel and it has to be said that it resembles a cleanser or moisturiser more than a bog-standard shower gel.

~ Does it lather?

This is best used with a flannel or sponge to create a substantial lather or foam. If applied with only your hand and a bit of water there really isn't much lather to speak of.

~ Overall

For the price I paid, this is a good shower gel. It cleans, lathers and most importantly doesn't dry out my skin at all. That said, I don't have incredibly dry skin during the summer months and am fortunate not to suffer from eczema so I'm not sure whether it would be suitable for those types of skin conditions.

It lasted two weeks, used up to twice a day so on average this only cost approx 7p per day for a good clean - not bad at all!- Other Sanex Dermo Shower Gels -
  • sensitive
  • moisturising
  • purifying
  • intensive

Summary:
A good basic shower gel.
