All i was looking for was a dvd player with multi-region playback so i could import films from the US before they were released in the UK, and the Sanyo DVDSX20 just so happened to be one of the cheapest on the market.
Firstly i should warn those contemplating on ordering it, it may take quite a while longer to come ... ...three times as the flap in which you insert the dvd would not come out. Having done some research, it appears that this was a problem a lot of people encountered.
However, on the fourth time of trying, i received one in fine working condition.
I have been using it now for about a year and have no complaints about it.
There are only few downsides but they are only really minor:

Firstly i should warn those contemplating on ordering it, it may take quite a while longer to come than expected. I had to send the dvd player back three times as the flap in which you insert the dvd would not come out. Having done some research, it appears that this was a problem a lot of people encountered.

There are only few downsides but they are only really minor:
1) The eject button on the actual dvd player is not a click button and so can be quite annoying trying to push it in, however the grievance caused by this is minimal.
2) The flap on which you place the dvd and which inserts into the player is extremely flimsy, and so could be easily snapped off by children or by accident.
3) The scart lead it comes with is VERY short, so the dvd player can't be placed within about a foot of the TV. But then again, at least it comes with a SCART as opposed to a lot of dvd players on the market/
The picture quality and sound quality is as good as any i've seen, and the instructions provided mean even an idiot could set it up in minimal time.
Obviously if you are looking for a DVD player with a large amount of functions, this isn't for you. However if all you are looking for is a cheap DVD player, which can play DVD's from anywhere in the world. I strongly recommend this.
