The Canon 10-20mm EF-S lens, perfect for landscapes.

Advantages: Excellent quality pictures, Useful wide angle range. Good build quality.
Disadvantages: No lens hood, Not compatible with all EOS cameras

Introduction The Canon EF-S 10-22mm f3.5-f4.5 USM lens is a high quality wide-angle zoom lens that is ideal for landscape, architectural and interior photography. It is designed to be used with all Canon EOS cameras with an APS-C sized censor and an EF-S lens mount, it cannot be used with Canon full frame or film cameras, also some older EOS models will not accept this lens either. To see if your camera is compatible with this lens, check your camera for the following. All Canon EOS cameras have a red spot on the lens mount to denote the lens alignment for EF mount lenses, check to see if your camera has an additional white spot to denote the lens alignment for EF-S mount lenses, if it does, then this lens will fit. Focal length This lens has an actual focal length of 10-22mm, but because of the x1.6 crop ...

Review of Sigma Zoom Super Wide Angle 12-24mm Lens

Canon EF-S 10-22mm f3.5-f4.5 USM

Advantages: Range. Optical Quality. Size. Weight. Price.
Disadvantages: Lens hood not supplied with lens.

- 13 elements in 10 groups with no less than 3 Aspherical elements and 1 S-UD one. Also, whilst the lens isn't 'technically' internal focusing, the body of the lens doesn't alter as the lens is focused. This is cleverly achieved by situating the forward group of lens elements in a separate tube which 'does' move back and forth a little during focusing. AF, via ultrasonic (USM) motor, is extremely fast, quiet and accurate. While FTM (Full Time Manual) focusing is available in One Shot AF mode, as yet, I have never had to use it! Focusing to an impressively close 0.24m, the full range of wide-angle effects are available. If you like to turn pebbles into boulders, this may be the lens for you! Distortion is very well controlled. Even at 10mm setting, barrel distortion is minimal by any standards and by the time you have zoomed in to 12mm ...
