Advantages: Waterproof. The lens has a cover. 640 x 480px video mode. Disadvantages: The camera does not float.
The Olympus Mju Tough-6010 looks deal for water sport practitioners, those who tend to get wet or just live under water. The picture quality is generally very good.
I've owned several Olympus cameras. The picture sharpness has always been great because of good quality optics.
The technical reviews state that there is a high speed mode that takes 5 shots per second with a resolution of tree megapixels the normal ?continuous mode? is stated to be too slow for taking multiple pictures of fast moving objects such as aircraft or downhill skiers.
The video quality is described as ?average? in most shooting conditions and not so good in changing conditions. Packing a lot of pixels in to a small area can result In noisy pictures. Usually the effect is only noticeable in very low light conditions. ...
Advantages: Easy to operate with one hand Disadvantages: Design covering tape window
As a self-employed worker, offering secretarial services from my home I had to purchase a multitude of equipment in order to be able to present the extent of services I do. Advantages: Good basic workhorse of dictaphone Disadvantages: Voice activation would be good

Voice activation would have been a good bonus but that costs extra, and for a budget dictaphone I reckon this is ok.
Clarity of recording is superb and the the buttons are large and easily used, there is little fiddling around to get the voice quality right and you just press and talk.
I realise many are going digital with these machines but our secrataries still prefer the tape machines for the clarity of diction afforded by these relatively cheap devices.
Battery life is good and after 1 year of a lot of recording, the original batteries are still working, there is an optional 3v DC input but I think that this is hardly necessary given the frugal nature of its power ...
