...This Sanyo dictaphone does all it is asked of and it does it pretty well too! There are few bells and whistles and it is really quite basic but functional.
Voice activation would have been a good bonus but that costs extra, and for a budget dictaphone I reckon this is ok.
Clarity of recording is superb and the the buttons are large and easily used, there is little fiddling around to get the voice quality right and you just press and talk.
I realise many are going digital with these machines but our secrataries still prefer the tape machines for the clarity of diction afforded by these relatively cheap devices.
Battery life is good and after 1 year of a lot of recording, the original batteries are still working, there is an optional 3v DC input but I think that this is hardly necessary given the frugal nature of its power consumption...
