This is a great little camera, its small and easy to use and for its price you get a very good piece of kit and a decent camcorder all in one device, incredible!

If you are looking for top quality photos or video, dont bother with this device you will want to spend a lot more on a Digital SLR or a MiniDV player, the fact is for every day use this camera is perfect, it is small enough to fit in a jacket pocket and takes perfectly good footage, I find I have this with me more often that my other camera and so it gets a lot more use.

I wanted a camera and a camcorder so I could get some good footage of my travels before university, to get a camcorder you compromise on the quality of the stills, if you get a camera you compromise on the quality of the video and to get one of each is expensive and means carrying a lot of equipment, with this you compromise a little on both video and stills but get very acceptable results anyway, and considering the fact that it is smaller than most cameras and can take good video as well this is a very very useful little machine.

There is a new version of this camera out, the VPC C6 has an extra mega pixel and takes better shots in low light, so it may be worth thinking about that one although it is a bit more expensive.

Helpful review. Perhaps a little more of your own experience would be useful - how easy was it use, did you have any problems with anything, etc. This would probably help get a higher rating. Good work though, BM
