Advantages: brilliant card! added stability Disadvantages: still not as good as the 8800 nvidia
...This gpu is quite similar to the originial, however the difference is, that its manufactured by a sapphire brand
The brilliant Sapphire version is just as good because it has the added stability and free traffic of the sapphire communications. Meaning, if a fault, they are always empty and welcome your concerns!
however there are some very minor improvements with the saphire version such as effiency and colling however these arent at all great. priceing however is different. they vary from time to time depending on how realiable the card is. i can tell you know that this is quite a reliable card and so it will be priced quite high. however it is definatley worth it
The awesome Sapphire version is just as good as the original!
A MUST BUY!...

Great card Review ofSapphireRADEONHD 2600PROby
mastara
Advantages: Single slot design, Great over clock ability, no external power requirements Disadvantages: Easily gets hot, No game bundle
...This is one of a view card I just bought a friend of mine. As based by ATi's newest GPU R600 series, this card is using the RV630 GPU which already support HD gaming in DirectX 10 games. Retailed at around US$ 79, this card has a great performance for it's level.
This card runs great for playing games in medium setting. But when it gets a little dirty, high detail and high resolution, the FPS quickly gets dropped. As with other Sapphire cards, this card came with superb over clocking performance.
A few things that I should note is, along with great over clocking capability, this card generates quite a heat and came with no bonus game bundle. The lack of game bundle could be a bit frustrating for some people, although it doesn't matter with me....

Advantages: very cheap but very good Disadvantages: may need to upgrade power supply on older PC's
...the sapphireradeon 9550 is an excellent graphics card for the money, DO check that your power supply is up to, after buying this card it would not work properly in heavy gaming untill i upgraded my power supply to a 550watt this card needs a minimum of 20Amps on the 12 volt rail (line). other than that its a reall good graphics card for £25
its not sapphire or ATI's fault i did not know this at the time of purchase, and after 5 mins on the sapphire forum i found the info and got my card going.
i am truly impressed with this card, i was using a radeon 9250 128mb before i got the 9550. the difference when playing Sid Miers Railroads was emence. with the 9250 the game play was slow and glitchy with minimal settings. once the 9550 was in my machine i could turn on all textures and details with no loss in game speed or quality it made...

The Radeon 2XXXX series of cards have been largely publicised. ATI showing that it can still produce market leading high end graphic cards. Cards that would give their archrival, Nvida a run for their money. And they also had an ace up their sleeve. ATI more
