Over clocking: This card is capable of been over clocked very well, and I have heard of people getting this card to run at the speeds of an XTX version of this card and can do so all day long, to achieve this use to the tool called ATItool 0.26 (newer versions may be available) I have not personally tested this card at over clocked speeds so I do not recommend doing so until you have looked it up, and even then do so at your own risk. And if you do decide to over clock the card I recommend that you make sure you have a good form of cooling in your system because over clocking causes an increase in heat produced by the graphics card.
Benchmarks on some games:
Oblivion: The Elder Scrolls 4 (Outdoor) = 31.70 FPS (1024x768x32, no AA, Trilinear Filtering, max Quality)
Battlefield 2142 = 71.90 FPS (1024x768x32, no AA, Trilinear Filtering, max Quality)
These are just some of the benchmarks available from this card, if the settings are increased the game will still run, although you will get a lower FPS a game can still run ok with an FPS as low as about 35. So if you play a little with the settings you may find a better setting to suit you of performance and quality.
Specs: Processor clock speed: 625 MHz 16 pixel pipelines 256 MB GDDR3 memory Memory Clock: 1800MHz Memory Size: 256 MB Memory Interface: 256-bit GDDR 3 DirectX 9 Maximum Resolution: 2560 x 1600 Dual DVI connectors VIVO port Integrated TV encoder S-Video Socket
Pros: Extremely Fast. Over clocks well. Runs most games on the market today. GDDR 3. Great image quality, cooler reacts to UV
Cons: Not DX10 compatible, does not have the newer crossfire bridge ( makes crossfire a little more tricky), Loud Fan
In The Box: Radeon X1950XT 256MB Driver Disk HDTV Cable VIVO Cable 2 x DVI to VGA/D-sub Adapter
Price: Around £85 (depends where you shop)
Overall I think that this card is a good card for almost any gamer, extreme gamers may want to go for the new DX10 compatible card now available from both NVIDIA and ATI. Although if you want to play any of the games out on the market today and most that will be out in the near future then you can get this great card (because I think they will continue to make games for DX9 for quite a while).

Quick review of Sapphire RADEON X1950 XT
Great video card, if you are looking for an average priced graphics card then i would recommend this card to you as is is packed with amazing features such as vivo and high memory and gpu clock speeds. I could run any game i thrown at it with full specs and it wouldn't miss a frame :), the main disadvantage with this card now is that direct x 10 has just started to kick off, but that means this card will get cheaper plus i will probably play most direct x 10 games anyway. ...

Advantages: Fast and quiet. Dual DVI. No compatibility problem with games. Very fast. Disadvantages: No DX10 support.
I own one of these cards on my newly assembled computer. I searched alot on internet before arriving to this decision specially remembering that the new ATI 2XXX and nvidia 8800 cards have arrived.
If you are looking for performance under a 200USD price tag, X1950 XT is a video card that I suggest you to not pass by. As I have seen on many benchmarks X1950 XT did very well against its main competitor: nVidia.
The X1950 XT is a powerful graphics ... ...that of the X1950 XTX, and its memory runs a full 250 MHz (effective) faster than the X1900 XTX. It is on par with the previous X1900 XTX champ, and fast enough to run at high resolutions with nice eye candy. It will handily beat a 7950 GT, and even best a 7900 GTO or 7900 GTX at most things. It is one of the fastest DX9 cards out there. It has 256mb of RAM which is enough for all of the new games. But it is not supporting DX10. In July 2007, ...
