I received a bottle of SarahJessicaParker's latest fragrance, Covet, this Christmas after dropping many unsubtle hints ("I had to have it!" reads the ad tag line). It is her second fragrance, after the very successful Lovely. This is my first foray into the world of celebrity perfumes. While I had smelled and liked her first perfume, it just wasn't "me". But I trusted that her future perfumes would have a better chance with me than those of say, Britney Spears. Unlike most of her competitors, Parker's market is not primarily the youth one, and it does seem she aims a bit higher as both of her perfumes have a unique personality that is distinguishable from any other. Actually her perfumes are in a higher price bracket so I suppose she is aiming at the designer market as well. Anyway on to the perfume...

is a raised stripy ribbon pattern, which looks like a gold chain wrapped several times around the box.
On the front, there is a gold plaque style plate with white nails either side. The front says 'Covet - SarahJessicaParker' in white, with a full ingredients on the back for those with allergies. The box looks very stylish and unusual, I was impressed and surprised. The size of the perfume is 36m.
The 'lid' is a flower shaped topper around 5cm across with 8 'chip' effect clear brown tinted plastic stones, designed to look like precious stones. Whilst this looks like a lid, when you remove the top it is actually just a circular cover for the pump, leaving a gold style pump with 'SJP' embossed in the top.
