There's nothing worse than using a comb which jags your head and feels sore and uncomfortable. When I used the comb on my own hair I didn't feel any discomfort or pain, it felt gentler than using a brush to comb my hair. Because of the gentle combing action of the Nitty Gritty comb I could comb the hair for longer periods thus removing as many eggs and lice from the hair as possible. With a normal jagged nit comb you could only use it for a short period of time because it would feel sore and uncomfortable on your scalp. ...Before I bought this product, my children came home regular with little visitors! Not very popular visitors, but hey, they visited regular. The Robi comb is a chemical free electronic head lice comb. So it was no more trips to the local pharmacist for shampoo's and mousses. Most of which I found offensive smelling, and didnt always work. The Robi comb is only designed for use on dry hair. I found that it was easier to use when the hair had been washed, thouroughly dried and well brushed. The comb struggles through tangles and longer hair as the teeth on it are very fine, and close together. It operates on a single AA(1.5v) battery, making it light weight.
