had a horrible week ended up in A&E with Baby Hope choking. All is well again now though but I'm still traumatised by the ordeal!

I bought this bumble bee for my baby who is 4 months old so will be starting to teeth soon and she is just started to be interacting with toys so thought this would be really good.
What it is? It is a teether, primarily. It is shaped to look like a bumble bee.It has four 'wings' which are all different- one is a rigid rubber with raised bobbly bits on, another is a rigid rubber with raised up rings on, another is a see through ring with little balls in and the fourth is a water-filled ring which vibrates when bitten.
What is it's purpose? It is a teether but it also is a toy as it has the rattle element with the ring with the balls. As a teether it is supposed to be soothing as it has one wing which is filled with water so it will be cool against the baby's gums. This wing also vibrates when bitten so is different to other water-filled teethers. The ridges on the two wings really help with teething and they're both different textures so it helps in different ways. The rattle-type wing helps to entertain and distract the baby as it rattles and they can also see the different balls inside so can help catch their attention. The bright colours make it fun and interesting for them to look at.
Personal opinion? My daughter loves this because it's not too heavy so she can just about hold it herself. The bright colours catch her attention and she has fun trying to grab it. I imagine when she's a bit bitter she wil enjoy munching on the teething wings as she is meant to. However, a big flaw in this is the 'amazing vibrating wing'. I can honestly say it probably vibrated about 4 times before it stopped working. It was only a very gentl evibration which would have been really very good against her gums but it just no longer works! It is a definite disappointment because it is really geared up and sold on this factor.
Price and availability I bought this for £6.99 from John Lewis. I know it is available for a little less from Amazon. I think it's quite expensive for what it is... If i wanted to buy just a 'normal' teether with bobbles on I could have got it for less but I thought this would be good due to it's vibration..however it doesn't vbrate! So I would say if it did actually do what it was supposed to then £6.99 isn't a bad price to pay!
