Synopsis:
A flying saucer was found in the North African desert and was rescued by American Rip Cantrell, after several adventures where people are trying to take the saucer from him. He has decided to donate it to the National Air and Space Museum.
The discoverer of the saucer Rip is staying with his uncle Egg and Charley {Charlotte Pine, retired air force test pilot and co-conspirator of the first book} has taken a job flying a French Space Plane ... ...out their future. At the end of the last story they appeared to be very good friends and were going to possibly be lovers. Whilst on the Moon, Charley finds that there is an Anti-gravity beam generator installed at the base that the base director intends to use to dominate the planet. Charley steals one of the Space planes and heads back to Earth despite French claims that she has gone crazy.
