Savlon is definitely something I would recommend, especially if you have children. I wouldn't be without a tube of this because it's good to always be prepared.

It's easy to come across in most supermarkets and health/beauty stores as it's very popular & a trustworthy brand.
The product claims to cleanse and prevent infection for both first aid purposes and minor skin problems. The gentle formula soothes skin without irritation and speeds up the natural healing process of skin whilst preventing infection.
To apply, ensure your hands are clean and rub in a small amount of the white cream to the affected area. Because you don't need much of the product for it to be effective the tube will last you quite a while. It needs to be stored below 30 degrees and note that it does have an expiry date on the crimp of the tube.
I find this cream perfect for any cuts, sore or cracked skin, minor burns, insect bites, spots and blisters, amongst other skin problems. The cream is gentle on your skin and as I have quite sensitive skin this is very important for me. It does have quite a sharp smell which is hard to avoid in anticeptic products. The cream isn't too greasy or sticky as it absorbs into the skin with ease. I've never had any problems with Savlon Skin Healing Cream; it has always delivered on its promises and is priced very well.

The SavlonAntisepticCream has a place in our bathroom cabinet and has done for a long time. it gets used mainly by my partner who has problems with broken and sore skin on his feet.
Savlon comes in a blue squeezy tube with a white plastic screw or flip lid on it. The information on the back of this product says that Savlon cleanses and helps prevent infection in first aid and minor skin problems and it gently sooths and aids in natural healing. Savlon can also be applied with clean hands to the area in which you wish tp put it, there are no guidelines on how to use this product or how often you should apply it it can be done as and when you desire. The cream itself is white, soft to the touch and is non-sticky or gooey. it soothes on to your skin with ease even though it does take a little bit of time to rub in before the cream ...

I'm sure a tube of savlon lurks in most first aid boxes, the smell certainly reminds me of the cuts and scrapes of my childhood, where this was a staple in my mum's box.
Savlon is an antisepticcream that comes in a foil/metal tube (like a toothpaste). It soothes and prevents infection whilst encouraging the natural skin healing process. It can be used on cuts and grazes as well as minor burns, blisters and sores and sunburn. It is also great for insect bites and stings. Apparently, it can also be used on spots, shaving cuts and nappy rash - although these are things that I have not used it for.
When I was younger, I frequently had it applied to cuts and grazes and remember it stinging on first application (a few seconds of what would now just be a tingling sensation) but it meant that my wounds did heal and it gave peace ...
