1 Star Quick review of Sawgrass Mills (Miami) by clarebr 14/02/2008
Tourist's beware, our rental car got broken into while parked at SawGrass Mills and stole a rucksack out of the trunk of the car, we then heard of a number of other tourist's that this happened to on this day and also other days. There is a professional criminal going around the carpark in this mall. We will not be back, it is not worth the hassle

I remember reading somewhere that Sawgrass Mills had become this major tourist attraction. It's apparently being advertised in Europe. When I think of the mall as being big, I think of it as big in the litteral sense. I think it's easily a mile long. (If you think I'm kidding, the mall has two food courts.) The only advantage of larg size is large selection. You get a lot of stores to choose from. The mall always seems to be expanding. They had a Hard Rock Cafe, a movie theater, and a really big video arcade. Other than that, it's just an oversized mall. If you want to come all the way to ... more

Advantages Advantages Mega choices, lots of parking, lots of exercise

Disadvantages Disadvantages Not all outlets, Exhaustion (unless you're in great shape)

Sawgrass Mills, South Fla's impressive mega-mall, isn't really an outlet mall. But I like it anyway. Though I live closer to Sawgrass Mills than 99.3% of the US population, it's far enough that I only go once a month or less. You can get great deals in the big stores and get gouged in the kiosks and restaurants. Though too many of its stores are either (1) megastores but not outlets or (2) high-priced kiosks or fast food, I still love the place. Sawgrass Mills has about a dozen anchor stores, most not duplicated in Broward County. It has two food courts, a bungee jump, and a movie theatre ... more

Advantages Advantages Mall was great, good variety though not all reasonably priced.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Be careful with Radioshack. I got duped buying a laptop. Very disheartened by this incident and the product.

Salesman LEO sold me one with an AMD Duron 996 Mhz processor by representing it to be a Pentium 3 1.2 gig processor that I'd specified I'd wanted. Showed me bogus specs in the catalogue. Even pretended to be genuine and said he was from Nicaragua etc. It was my last day in Miami and I was in a hurry. Was going to return there but now I don't know. I am definitely going to seek a satisfactory resolution of this matter. May the buyer/traveller beware and not be too hasty to buy anthing in good faith ... no matter how good it sounds. Also, there are big price differences within the mall on the ... more
