I have a lovely little box of eight little toy men who are made by Hornby. These men are wheel crewmen and they are a genuine Scalextric model set, which I paid only £4.99 for and I think this was a very fair price to pay. They go with my fuel pitmen. I had a choice of colours, either silver suits or blue suits but I chose the silver suited men because I already had the blue ones and I thought a change would be nice.

These eight little figures are of various posing models who are changing wheels or tyres and I place them on and beside my Scalextric tracks when I put them up when my granddaughter come to my house. We love to play with them together.

I have two boxes the same. One I like to keep for best and I don’t take them out of the box as I like to make sure they don’t get damaged and the other ones I use regularly to play with on my tracks. They are a 1:32 scale as are my other models and they are suitable for either the digital or the analogue tracks but as I have both sorts they suit me fine.

They stand up well on the hard floor and even on my carpet they are solid sturdy little models and they rarely fall over and don’t need support to stay upright. They have impressed me. They are very life like and realistic and the attention to detail is very good. I think they look like little space men in their silver suits and it looks really lovely when I have them all set out on my tracks and it sets the scene very well, I find.
