Scan Computers

...i was about 12. found scan computers in about 1992, used them since for parts. seemed about every 3 out 5 items would be faulty and need returning, so i was back a forth to this shop thats 7 mile from me. seemed no other place to try and they replaced them no probs. Anyhow latelly they seem to have changed, customer service is a total joke, the staff on the other end of the phones, sound like children with issues, when its you ringing with the issues. ...
...arrange a lift over to scan computers to get my daughters ipod, also why im there i purchase two hard drives, and pick up the ipod.. i get home.. I take ipod out of bag and switch it on, it as the same Fault... I ring scan computers and they say "your ipod was not faulty apple said so and sent it us back with upgraded firmware" thats the first time im told by scan it wasnt faulty... errrrm i can cleary see the fault The kid on the phone from scan ...

I've always found Scan to be an excellent company to deal with. Prices are keen, with some great offers. If you're about to put in an expensive order, you can usually get a further discount by sending your shopping list to the suggestions address for the "Today Only" page. Unlike some others who've posted here, I've had no problems at all with customer service. I've used Scan for over 10 years and on the rare occasions where I've received faulty ...
...don't appear very often. It's no big deal really and just means I tend to build the bulk of a system with parts from Scan and then pick up a graphics card from one of the more specialist suppliers, like Overclockers.co.uk. All in all, I'm a happy customer. ...

It would seem that your change from a "family run business" to "midsize professional" has failed to carry out the tradition of putting the customers requirements first. Having ordered my graphic card 17/09/08,i have been let down by the courier who delivered my parcel & had it signed by an unknown person & therefore i am still waiting to receive my refund.Despite several e-mails & a written letter at the company's request I still have no satisfaction in this matter.Scan computers stated that the matter would be dealt with by the claims department,however it is now november the fourth 2008 & im still waiting for my refund.This is not a good way to run a business,Avoid at all costs!!!!!! ...

Scan have a fantastic product range - however the company is brought down by a piss-poor second rate customer service. Scan is also known as "SCAM" in my company, myself an other colleauges have experinced the worst customer service that most other competitors. For a decent computer component supplier I would recommend www.cclonline.co.uk who offer much better Customer Service. ...
