I've had my scandinovo frost free fridge freezeer for nearly two years now and so far we've had no trouble. The Scandinovo is from comets own brand of products. It's over 5ft tall and comes with a large freezer compartment with draws that are deep and easy to pull in and out. The fridge has three shelves and two bottom compartments for fruit and veg. It also has plenty of room for eggs, butter, cheese and the odd bits that tend to accumulate in your fridge. It has a special section for bottles which is removable and can hold up to five bottles. It has a fast freeze button and separate temperature controls for the fridge and freezer sections. Like i said it hasn't given us any problem - no pieces of ice appearing where it shouldn't. The only draw back is that it can tend to get a bit noisy if its filled - trying to maintain the correct temperatures. This is a good buy if you haven't got a very large family.
Advantages: It's huge, looks lovely and seems very reliable Disadvantages: I can't reach the bottle shelf!
We bought our Scandinova frost free fridge/greezer just over a year ago from Comet - it's their own brand.
Lots of the big american style fridges had caught my eye, but they were all too big and too expensive. The Scandinova is lovely to look at - over 8 feet tall and matt silver. The top half is the fridge bit and it has ample room. The door itself is crammed with loads of roomy, useful shelves. The fridge has 3 generous sized shelves plus two ... ...section is roomy again, the only disadvantage being the rather oddly shaped and therefore small bottom drawer. I'm assuming there is some sort of motor behind it which would explain it only being half as deep as the others.
It's got the top rating for power efficiency and noise, has a nifty built in ice shelf for making cubes and looks like a space age appliance. At around half the price of the american style fridges, it was even one of the cheaper ...

Advantages: Big & beautiful Disadvantages: Egg rack for 8 eggs (who buys them in 8's?)
We've had our Scandinova fridge for almost 3 years, and it's great. It's capacious, rated B efficiency, the top (fridge) holds 185 litres fo space, the freezer holds 123 litres across 3.5 drawers. Came from High Street retailer Comet (own brand) and cost around £400.
The glass shelves (2) in the fridge are adjustable, as is the useful bottle rack. The veg. tray at the bottom is innovative, it swings out in a half-moon shape around a central pivot, ... ...you can see your perfectly preserved veg. Two trays which take up approx. 2/3 of the veg. tray allow flexibility. The door shelves are flexible, with shallow and deeper trays to hold a variety of goods, and two containers shaped to fit the door for dairy or smelly goods. There's an egg tray, and large defrosting/storage box came too, very useful. The fridge is easy to clean, (nothing that can't be put in the dishwasher, i've found) the freezer drawers ...

...I have been looking around for a new fridge for my relatively small kitchen. The problem I had was that there is not much workspace so I wanted a larder fridge instead of a fridgefreezer so that I could put my microwave on top of it. However, I didn't want a basic one oh no I wanted the 50's retro style like the Bosch or SMEG. On searching round our local stores to my horror I found that Bosch and SMEG were charging anything from £1,000 to £1,500 for the type of fridge I wanted.
At the weekend we had another look in Comet and found a new range that I hadn't seen before called Scandinova. It is perfect, it is a silver finish larder fridge but it is substantially bigger than the standard fridge, it has four bottle holding wires inside, six compartments in the door, a veg tray, three storage boxes and three more glass shelves. Also...
