Amped 3 is the third game in a line of snowboarding games from Indie Built/2K Sports and it expands on the previous two games in the fact that again it is a X-Box exclusive. The game was released with the console as part of the launch line ups therefore one of the first next generation games available.
Amped 3 is as i said a snowboarding game, but there are things in this game which set it apart from rivals such as the SSX series. Not only is your character fully customisable from what hair style they have to what shoes they wear and everything inbetween, Amped 3 is also a sandbox game but i will come onto that later in the review.

Gameplay:
When you first look at Amped 3 you may think it is just one of your typical snowboarding games, just another SSX you may say, well you are wrong. Amped 3 has its own unique playing style, yes the controls are similar to other snowboarding games, yes the moves are the same, but that is where the similarities end. Amped 3 puts you in the role of a young man in a snowboarding crew, and it starts you off in a giant pink bunny suit, strange I know. Anyway you need to go round the mountains, and I say mountains because there are about 8 mountains in total for you to explore, however they need to be unlocked by completing the story mode first. Amped 3 is a great snowboarding game which is suitable for pretty much all ages.
There is no online multiplier mode, which is the only disadvantage about this game but other than that this game is brilliant.
The only online feature about this game is the online leader boards, which you must have Xbox Live to view.

The story mode on this game really is brilliant but it is not very easy to complete. To complete the game you must get a gold medal on every challenge.
The rider customisation on this game is really good if you like your player to look good. As you get further in the story mode you will unlock more customisations and snowboards.
