This is one excellent scanner, I use my scanner to restore and edit photographs for my family and friends. With an optical resolution of 1200 by 2400 there is no need for interpolation, which is what cheap scanners use. The scanner has a resolution of 1260 dots per inch and to be honest for looking at stuff on a screen I have found 300 dots per inch to be more than adequate.
