It's a slow process to do accurately, and you need to do one at a time rather than four, but the results are excellent. I'm now wading my way through hundreds of slides. Higher resolutions might be used for large prints, but you would have to be very careful that the glass and slide (or negative) are spotlessly clean. Top resolution is 12800dpi (interpolated I suspect from the optical 2400dpi) but in practice anything bigger than a postage stamp would create an absurdly large file in this kind of resolution.
