...cannot use this scanner, with Epson not making a driver (they now want people to buy flatbed's instead). You can get around this by installing Windows 98 (if you have a legal copy of course) and using the PC as a dual boot system, which means you then select either Windows XP or Windows 98 on bootup. ...since replaced it with a hp 2115 copy/fax/printer thingy. There's good reason for this. *****Looks***** Well just look at it. It's absolutly massive. It'll have a hard time iftting into today's small and compact technology. Also the plug is definitly the biggest i've ever seen for an appliance this big. ...reliable scanner.Only problem is with UMAX they will swear this scanner is not XP compatable or even ME compatable. But i have ran on both OS with no problem. The 9X driver works on ME and i guess the NT version will work on Win2000.I would recomend this scanner to anyone or small business that wants something that is going to last them for more than a year. ...
