This **IS** Perfection
Review of Epson Perfection 1200U by
XJSGAV
Advantages: Speed, quality
Disadvantages: none
This is one excellent scanner, I use my scanner to restore and edit photographs for my family and friends. With an optical resolution of 1200 by 2400 there is no need for interpolation, which is what cheap scanners use. Yes no longer do I get blurry edges of interpolated images and the images are perfectly crisp. For anyone wanting clear un-blurred images for whatever reasons this is the best option. It is quiet and with a USB connector it has ample ...

Exactly what is says on the label
Review of Epson Perfection 610 by
Woody2004
Advantages: Quick and easy to use
Disadvantages: Not very stylish, large
I've had this scanner for a few years and have reamined impressed with its solid performance. As with everything i buy i thoroughly researched this scanner before walking into the shop and was convinced that it was the best around for under a hundred quid. It has a USB 1.1 interface (the accepted standard for this class) and with a 1,5ghz CPU performs more than adequately with little time spent waiting around once the scan has finished. Colour depth ... ...the scanner is faultless however the outside does look a ittle uninspiring being a simple beige with a single button for a quick scan. Coupled with this is its large size demanding a reasonable sized work surface though i believe that it would be well suited to an office environement well style is not at the top of the list of priorities. It is very competent at what it does and, with few frills such as negative scanning, is a solid and cheap performer ...

Epson's Best Scanner
Review of Epson GT 7000 by
Union
Advantages: Build Quality Looks Like It Will Last Forever
Disadvantages: No Longer Made
...the TWAIN driver from the Epson website which also includes support for Windows 95,98,Me,NT 4.0,2000 as well as Mac 7.5.1 and later. Which is good to see as so many firms don't seem to provide drivers for Windows Me. I so pleased with this scanner I strongly suggest you try and pick one up secondhand as they are so well built compared to the new models. ...

Epson Perfection 640U
Review of Epson Perfection 640U by
Bill_Harvey
Advantages: Side stand option and ease of use
Disadvantages: quality of OCR software
The Epson Perfection is in my opinion an excellent well priced scanner. The price tag at the time of purchase, £119.00, was within my price range and as I already owned an Epson printer I knew I could trust the quality.
Its shape and colour are pleasing to the eye and ensure that it fits in well with most other computer products and so doesn't look out of place on your desktop. If space is a premium fear not as it is supplied with a handy side stand ... ...succesfully scanning a magazine article which included a couple of pictures. A better OCR package would have been a bonus.
All in all if you want a well built reasonably priced scanner that produces excellent results then the Epson Perfection 640U is the scanner to choose, you won't be dissapointed. ...

PERFECT IMAGES.
Review of Epson Perfection 1200 Photo by
thingywhatsit
Advantages: So reliable.
Disadvantages: None.
...my love affair with the Epson was when I saw how solid the machine was and I knew that it would do what I wanted it to do. It was important too that this should be a scanner that would last me through the evolution from Windows 98 to whatever software I chose and this one does. It has a USB connection as well which was handy.
Many scanners offer a lot though this one fulfilled its promise, and the software that came with it was extremely good. Epson ... ...get sharper image, or trust Epson and use their enhancement button. I trust Epson and it works every time.
This works well with my photographic programs, and I was able, with the use of the special bed, to scan all my old negatives and make them into pictures. This was wonderful as I had lost all the originals years ago. I was also able to put in slides and to change them into photographs and this was amazing because a lot of the slides I had never ...
