Epson Perfection.......Again
Review of Epson Perfection V750 Pro by Craigshadow12

Advantages: Excellent scan quality, Full version of SilverFast Ai
Disadvantages: Little Diffrence from V700, Film holders are a little flimsy for a pro scanner.

...as follows :- The Epson V700 Photo scanner was trageted at the high end consumer. Whereas the V750 is targeted for the more professional user. The V750 has an Anti-Reflection Optical Coating as well as CCD Glass to help reduce the ammount of reflection. These are Features that Only a professional would look for when buying this type of product and are not all needed for you casual high end consumer in my opinion. The V750 also includes a full version ...
...I recomend sticking with the EPSON brand but selecting a newer model. Nikon Super Coolscan 9000 ED a design success.
Review of Nikon Super Coolscan 9000 ED by petermock

Advantages: high quality scans, large files, robust and intelligently designed.
Disadvantages: None.

The Nikon Super Coolscan 9000 ED is a brilliantly designed multi- format film scanner aimed at professionals but I would seriously recommend it for anyone passionate about photography. It is a joy to use. It scans 35mm, Medium format 120/220, 6x6, 6x7, 6x9 (cm) and 16mm size films. Excellent results with black and white, colour negative and slide film in all the available above formats. The price for the Nikon Super Coolscan 9000 ED is around £1800 ...
...around £5000 to £12000 the Nikon Coolscan 9000 ED price is instantly more attractive but what about quality? The Nikon Coolscan produces images that are certainly good enough for professional, commercial and archival uses and fine art exhibiting purposes. If you use Photoshop and have a good or professional printer then the results will be stunning. I've printed 44 inch / 111.8 cm wide and much larger prints from the 6x7 cm medium format film size ... A Near Perfect Scanner
Review of Canon CanoScan LiDE 25 by anonymili

Advantages: Sooooo many features
Disadvantages: None that I can think of

We use the CanoScan Lide 25 (which I'll refer to as Lide 25 from now on) at work and a handy little scanning tool it is indeed. It's very slim and lightweight and sits nicely on my desk, ready to jump into action whenever I need to scan a document or photo. You can copy directly from the platen (glass screen) to your printer or print or even email and it's very easy to set up. AN ABUNDANCE OF FEATURES The Lide 25 uses a USB connection so ...
...handy indeed - saving on energy is always a better option. Unlike other home scanners I've used in the past the Lide 25 scans to a fairly high resolution of up to 1200 x 2400 dpi so when scanning photos you get very good quality images. The software that comes with the scanned allows you to scan documents to PDF too and you choose whether you want them in colour or monochrome or select the image quality you want from 75, 100, 200, 250, 300 or 400 ...
