Advantages: many
Disadvantages: no one

...can install it. The HP is also very good brand. This scanner is very stylish. The resolution is high. But the disadvantages is that the scanner is a bit too thick. Where I first scanned a document and a picture i was amazed of the quality and the fast scan. If you are looking for a good scanner with a known brand you should buy this scanner. A scanner for cheap prize and the best quality provided. If you have any questions please write to me a message. ... Read review

Review of HP ScanJet 5590 Digital Flatbed Scanner by daveyspam

Advantages: I cannot see any advantages with this product
Disadvantages: Software is convoluted and unreliable, paper jams are difficult to clear

There is no way to clear the jam except to pull hard & hope. No levers to release it like one would expect. *Frequently has error 23 (lamp failure) on power-up and ...

For obvious Reasons I cant say what it is, but all the ...
...bits of paper, the best part of thirty years old. There were litterally 100s of 1000s of pages, nothing on computer just all Paperwork. There was only one copy of everything. The boss decided to invest in a scanner that could cope with all this paperwork and get the copies on PC. He bought this, hence why Im writing about it. We ordered it from Misco, One of the Suppliers we use from work for £617.23. It came next day delivery. It was well packed ... Read review

Advantages: Very Good Quality, Excellent SilverFast Software
Disadvantages: Abit Large, Dust Removal Software Not Good

There is also an 8300gp model of this scanner which is a Graphic Arts scanner and has a monitor color-meter calibrator as a added feature ideal for graphic designers. Now about the HP ScanJet 8300, the scanner has an OR (Optical Resolution) of 4800x4800dpi and will scan high dynamic ...
...area of around A4 size. HP includes film holders which will hold 3 strips, 6 frames of a 35mm film. The holders can be placed in the base of the scanner for storage. The ScanJet 8300 is supplied with HP's own photosmart software. I wasn't impressed with the scan pro scanning. It has basic setting which you can't adjust to they way you want. But the SilverFast AI scanning software is much better and more professional, though the dust remover software ... Read review
