Great speedy scanner!

Advantages: Speed
Disadvantages: Quality (Only a small disadvantage)

Review of Epson Perfection V500 Photo

Picture Perfect

Advantages: Versatile scanner for more detailed reproduction
Disadvantages: A bit bulky

I had an Epson perfection 1650 and it was long over due for a replacement upgrade. As I never had any real problems with my previous Epson I decided I would stick with the same brand an go for the Perfection V700 - a scanner designed specifically for photo scanning but that also acts as an all-purpose scanner. Epson Perfection.......Again

Advantages: Excellent scan quality, Full version of SilverFast Ai
Disadvantages: Little Diffrence from V700, Film holders are a little flimsy for a pro scanner.

Review of Epson Perfection V750 Pro

Too good to be true

Advantages: Inexpensive, very fast, high resolution good quality output
Disadvantages: Unreliable and low quality construction

...minutes per full-resolution scan, the Plustek takes a minute. In fact I spent more time fiddling with the slides putting them into the mount than actually scanning. The resulting scans, while slightly noisier than other lower-resolution scanners I have used are wonderfully high resolution.
