Great speedy scanner!

Advantages: Speed
Disadvantages: Quality (Only a small disadvantage)

The Canon CanoScan 8800f The canon CanoScan 8800f is a near perfect scanner. It is used in our school and after using it for recent Art coursework i was very impressed. It took around ten seconds to scan an A4 sheet, which is pretty quick in my opinion. The quality is also good. The colours come out well and although it was not perfect, it's hard to expect a perfect scan of a watercolour painting, as the colours were not bold. After asking my ...
...on my work, i decided i would have to check out what it comes with online. I was surprised to see that our school's Adobe photoshop Elements 5, a great program, had come with the scanner. Also included is ArcSoft photo studio 5, a not so great piece of software. Anyway, back to the scanner itself. As well as the scanner and software, it includes a trio of plastic adaptors. One is for 35mm filmstrips, one is for 35mm mounted slides and one is for ...

CanoScan - great quality scans at the touch of a button

Advantages: Quick, easy to use, quiet, great quality scans
Disadvantages: Fairly expensive

The Canon CanoScan is a great all-round flatbed scanner. It is a good size (25cm x 36cm x 4cm) to enable all regular scanning, whilst not taking up unnecessary desk space. It has a resolution of 4800dpi x 4800 dpi, which results in great quality scans, of both black and white or colour documents/images. Whilst I have been rather let down by other scanners, this one is really easy to use and gives fantastic results. It is easy to scan in regular sheets/photos, ...
...Although other scanners I have used have allowed you to do this, the results have not been so good; often having the lid slightly ajar results in bleached patches of the scanned document, due to light getting in. However, I have personally not suffered any problems like that with this scanner. When scanning documents, text comes out clear; when scanning photos, the colours are a good representation and very accurate and vivid. Unlike many other scanners, ...

CANOSCAN LiDE

Advantages: High resolution colour scan
Disadvantages: Expensive

With constantly All In One's taking over the market of stand alone scanners... some people started to predict that stand alone scanners will soon be a history. But they are wrong.. because although AIO printers can scan upto a very good mark but they are not as good... this stand alone flatbed scanner give you a perfect high resolution scan without wasting a lot of your time as much scanners or AIO printers do... this scanner has a very different ...
...photo scans at a reasonable one time price... So on the basis of above discussion i would like to conclude that .. although AIO printers are taking over the market but flatbed scanners will not lose their existence and if you don't need a printer then why waste money on those expensive AIO's if all u need is just a scanner... ...

Advantages: ease of installation, good resolution, value for money, easy of use, great design
Disadvantages: speed in scanning

I have Canon CanoScan LiDE 25 at home. I have used this scanner since 2006 and got no problem with this scanner. Canon CanoScan LiDE 25 can be installed easily and can be operated even for beginner. It doesn't need an adaptor. The power supply comes from one USB port. CanoScan LiDE 25 has a good design. It is very slim and light, so you can bring it easily wherever you go. This is not an expensive scanner in my country, but it has a good quality ...
